I notice Arron Glenn had a real bad day with Dallas. That's a laugh. How would you all rate the others players. Our Coaching staff and management are you know what. But its the players fault we are where we are at. Right, now for the next laugh....................
If McNair is attending practice I don't know why the coaching staff is still on the field. What a fiasco. Players leave the Texans and become Gems in a lot of cases. There were a few duds in the mix, but the key ones have been successful. I still say people were let go, because they made noises - Ah like do you know what the hell you are doing? Your gone was the response....... If you can't see that then keep looking because its going to possibly get worse. You take in my opinion an inept offensive line coach and make him an OC. This has diaster written all over it to me, but again that's just one man's opinion. Did you notice how Cincy did today. Of course we play them next. Would 0-3 sound about right? It looks like to me the players are going through the motions and saying I'll be glad when this one is over with. They all are going to be looking if they can and I don't blame them. This nonsense has been going on far too long and the owner is just as responsible as anyone. He recognized the problem at the end of last season and I took the man at his word. Unfortunately his staff didn't and he has been left holding the bag. They sold him a bill of goods during preseason which made it too late to make changes. He was a sucker and didn't know it. I hope I'm wrong, but that's what it looks like to me. Look at all of the promises by the coaching staff and what have we seen? It really is interesting. The players are just as much in the dark as the owner and the fans. Sorry to say its going to be a very bitter and long season. I would opt for a coach with a heart problem over what we have now. In fact a high school coach might be better than this bunch, because he might teach our guys some fundamentals...................... Good gravy he might even know how to call a mixture of plays................ Yes, I am Pxxxx at what we are seeing and how management is reacting and there is no hope on the horizon. |

Reggie Swinton returned 5 kickoffs for 83 yards and 2 punt returns for 16 yards.

4 punt returns with a 3.5 yard average. 10 kick off returns with a 24.7 yard average. (only as high as it is becase he broke one for 59 yards.) Not bad, but hardly a gem. Not saying we should have cut him but you can't even come close to saying "ah man, see I told you we shouldn't have cut him, look how great he is doing." http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/12748 |

The Kenny Wright deal was kind of sorry. However the reason for that was because of the play of Faggins.

I'd like to see what our team would look like if we kept all our draft picks that we traded away for Babin and Buchanon and the 2nd we blew on Hollings.

Honestly I think our problem is our defensive system. Nothing against Foley, Posey, etc but it's clear scouts thought more highly of Babin and Peek than those two, yet here we are with two great athletes that by now should have a decent understanding of the system, yet aren't producing. I think if either one of them were in San Diego, they would appear much better on the statsheets. It's become pretty much common knowledge that Fangio's system is supposed to be complex and it seems like that's holding back our linebackers. On paper we should be able to get to the QB, but it just isn't happening.

We have a read and react defense when we should have a move and disrupt one. I don't think a 34 defense will work as a read and react, it puts to much strain on the DBs to hold up.

I for one screamed about getting rid of Reggie. Boy howdy, talk about eating crow, he hasn't done squat.
To me it was a big mistake getting rid of AGlenn. You have to have a veteran leader on you D and we have none! bobby 119C :brickwall |
