From where I stand, and from what I see...
Carr would NOT intentionally play poorly just to increase the chances of Palmer getting axed. It's just not in his DNA. He's the good guy. A company man. I actually think that he's been way to nice to everybody. He gets all fire dup and slaps the ball, but he looks up into the air and says something like, "Aww! Come on!" with no eye contact toward any of his teammates. And to me, that shows that he's afraid to get in someone's face. Face it: No NFL QB is perfect. The best ones still make a dumb mistake here and there, and I just think Carr is letting his own mistakes keep him from pointing fingers at others. He doesn't want to risk getting it pointed back at him. But what he needs to learn is that he is technically the "boss" and the offensive teammates are the "employees." You might disagree with the boss, and you might think he made a bad decision...but by the end of the day, he's still the boss and he has control. THAT's the biggest reason I have been jumping all over Carr on this board. He's got top stop worrying about his nice guy image and just become brutally honest with the team when they are not holding up their end of the deal. So I don't think he did this on purpose. He might have been praying for Palmer to get axed, but I doubt he plotted and schemed to do the deed himself. That's my take. |

Bubba:
Do you really work in a warehouse as it states on your little bio screen in the top right of your posts? I made my "go-to-work-and-get-blamed" comment because that's what happens to me at work. I work/manage a warehouse, and I get the bad end of the stick on EVERYTHING. It was irritating at first, but now it's just comical when it happens. Anyway, you had replied with a "Yeah, I've been doing that for 3 1/2 years myself...." and I was thinking to myself, "So have I...." Anyway, if you DO work in a warehouse I think that's pretty funny. |
