Default It cant come soon enough.

I welcome the inevitable implosion. This team needs to be torn to the ground so that it can be remade correctly. I for one am excited. I trust our owner in this.. he is the kind of guy who isnt going to accept "average" just cause he is still making a profit.. and he isnt going to stick his nose in where it doesnt belong. Thank god for Mr. McNair. Now that we can step back and see the flaws.. I think we will be able to move forward much quicker, and become the kind of team we were hoping to build in the first place.

There are only a handful of players on this team who I could not stand to see leave.. Dunta Robinson, Andre Johnson, Domanick Davis, Travis Johnson, DeMarcus Faggins, Jerome Mathis, Chester Pitts, C.C. Brown, Robaire Smith, Moran Norris, Derrick Armstrong, and Jabar Gaffney come to mind as "definate keepers". That is a pretty solid group of young talent to rebuild on. I think if we can do this right.. we should have no trouble keeping this solid core of players in Houston, and happy.

Rebuilding with these guys should be a short and relatively painless affair I would think. There is just so much talent there, that I think if we just surrounded them with adequate help, and GOOD COACHES.. and a SMART offense and defense.. in 2 or 3 years we can have this team competing for the playoffs.

here is to hoping that Mr. McNair will step in and start the changes this week, and reassure our young talent that if they stay with us, they are gonna see playoffs sooner than later.

that one small mental mistake does NOT make him a bad player. he is hands down one of our best receivers.

If you are going to cut everyone who made a mistake that might have cost us a game.. then you need to cut every starting QB that has thrown an interception.. every running back that has fumbled the ball.. every CB that has blown his coverage... every kicker that missed a field goal.. so on and so forth.

Gaffney is an awesome receiver. His one mistake doesnt change that. Hes also probably got the best hands on the team.. or at least second best behind Armstrong.

You left off: Kris Brown, Chad Stanley, Charlie Anderson, Morency, Matt Murphy, Dave Ragone, Todd Wade, Ramon Walker, Glenn Earl, & Chris McKenzie. I'd also have to add Carr, at least until I see him behind a solid OL.

You don't get it. The honeymoon is over. Houston expects a winner NOW. The crowd is not ready for 2-3 more years of building. The mob is already starting to form.

Personally I have not given up on THIS group of guys. I expected us to be 0-2(or at least I saw it as the most likely outcome) given our first two opponents. I knew with our O-line we would most likely not be able to overcome the Bills or the Steelers defenses. Sadly I was right. Expect to see improvement in the next game we play.

Today we were crushed by a much better football team. The Steelers are freaking good.

We will be lucky to go 7-9 this year. We are going backwards. Bob Mcnair needs to put some pressure on the coaches and players. The next draft had better have us holding on to all of our picks. No more picking WRs, RBs(That we will never use), we need O-Linemen and D-Linemen.

see this is stuff that is just ridiculous. Jabar has been a bust, he has production comparable to FREDDY MITCHELL!

he is so far from an 'awesome receiver' its not even funny. What makes you say hes awesome? he has no ability to seperate at all, has no speed so hes not a deep threat. So basically hes a very undersized possession receiver.

Jabar's stats make quincy morgan look like Randy Moss

Thumbs down Fire em all and let God sort em out

I don't know about anyone else, but the severe problems I see on this team all go down to poor coaching. You have all these atheletes, all these decent players who are good or average at something, but yet no one plays up to their potential or even near it. You know why, because they're not put in the system or situations to consisently be successful. I will continue to be a fan, but some people will not. The "implosion" you speak of hopefully will come soon, and it doesn't necessesarily mean new qb, rb, db either. The pieces are here for us to be a 10-6 team right now. But the coaches can't seem to pull their heads outta their you no whats to figure things out, and make a good gameplan. If I'm Bob McNair, I fire Palmer this week, ASAP give your head coach a chance to right the ship and Vic F. the clipboard to call the plays, if not start rolling heads. An entirely new philosophy is what this team needs as far as winning preparing how to win, and going out and doing it. Usually that means new coaching blood. I looked on the net this evening at Palmer/Capers histories with other teams, and it was very dissappointing. Palmer fired by the Browns because he could not/would not accept the changes the front office wanted him to make in their offense! Capers fired because his message was lost on his players in Jacksonville, and they wouldn't buy into his system anymore! Any of this sound vaguely familiar, jeez it was not encouraging to read either. :brickwall We've hit the wall, and the only way to break thru to mediocrity is to "shake those losers off".
Good coaches in any sport must put their players in situations/systems that make them successful players. David Carr isn't Mike Vick or Peyton Manning, Domanick Davis isn't Barry Sanders or Terrell Davis, Kailee Wong isn't Julius Peppers, Seth Wand isnt Tony Saragusa, and you know what? Andre Johnson may not be the next TO or Michael Irvin, they're Andre Johnson David Carr Domanick Davis and Dunta Robinson. They're all good players but they deserve much better leadership. I hope Mr.McNair gives them the leadership that they need and deserve, but its not what they have right now. What is Dan Reeves doing now? That Falcons team everyone is loving right now, he drafted every player including Mike Vick. Too old, Dick Vermeil came back at 61 and won a superbowl. The Big Tuna is doing more with less than Capers/D'oh with tons. Its hard to imagine anyone doing worse with this team than they have. Jeff Fischer has so much respect from me, year in year out, always competetive w/w/o Steve or Eddie, or whoever else. Much Respect to Bill Cowher too.

Is the team laying down or what??? Does anyone have the courage to speak up that we are in need of a serious coaching change??? It's one thing to lose and another to look as if you have never played before.

If you listen to players talk after the game they are all *****ing about us being to predictable and underplaying Capers philosophy. Mckiney said "you have to run to win but you have to throw to score." If this goes on it will be total mutiney, which now i welcome. Capers pushes this no emotion football and if your young you need to embrace your firery passion for the game and use it. This is a coaching staff that wants to do what the team isnt built for.

Well let's beat this dead horse a little more shall we?

We have good talent on this team!! Outside of a decent O-line, we are missing the intangables!! (Mental toughness, preparation, stategy, scheme, leadership!!) Typically these derive from the coaching staff...

i for one would gladly wait around patiently if mcnair came out and said the equivelant of "this team sucks, and we're going to fix it" (followed by capers getting a swift kick in the rear ... literally, i want to see him chased down the street hank hill style).

keep gaffney, like it's been said 100 times he cant throw the ball to himself. we've got a strong core of players, but between management & coaching, that core's been watered down.

Capers has lost this team. Palmer has worn out his welcome.
The team has no desire left.

I'm w/ you on that. Other coaches that get my respect to piggyback off the ones you've listed: Bill Belechek, Carolina's Coach, Dungy, Gruden, Cincinatti's Coach, Parcels.

Another fan who see's a few plays and forms a distorted opinion.

Check out the link...
http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/wr.php

Contrary to what you may believe Jabar is a good reciever. So is Armstrong. The problem is the O-line is so pathetic that a team can send less rushers and still get plenty of pressure on our QB, while still having extra guys in coverage. O-line is the root of all of our Offensive problems.
With that said I still think we need some one to step up into the role a #2 reciever.

If you are looking for a reciever to dog....Corey Bradford is your man. He is not very good.

Now if you disagree simply supply proof or stats or something that support your claim.

Thank you.
