Default To be or not to be? (A Supportive Fan)

To be a supportive fan or to be a booing, criticising fan?

If you blindly support your team and cheer when they announce "Pat Buchannon!" or "Jason Babin!" maybe you are giving the players some confidence, but aren't you also telling McNair and the Texans $$ holders that we are happy even when we lose?

I want to cheer for this team, but I also want the owner to make some changes so that we can be a winning team.

Ive cheered myself horse every game I've been to, but Im tired of watching the same problems every year. We have always had an OL problem. Why haven't we fixed it? Etc, etc.

What is a loyal fan who wants change supposed to do??

I'd suggest that you continue to post your thoughts and feelings about this team and the direction it's going in on this board. Many within the Texans organization read this board on a regular basis. Also I think McClain reads the board from time to time, but I'm not sure about that.

IMO I'll scream and cuss at the Texans all day when I am watching the game at the house, but booing them from the stands is not going to help their confidence, which is one of their many problems...

Ok, because you boo dosent mean I, others dont support the team. If your a parent everyonce in a while you have to put your kids inline, same thing with this team. We have stood behind all the short commings up untill the last home game last season. We as season ticket holders pay all the guys down on the feilds bills. It should be a honor for these guys and they should take some pride that they get to play football for a living, they have been selling us the fans a poor product. This is a professional football team, and we the fans are the ones that make all that possable, we have the RIGHT to show are disaproval. I have been a season ticket holder for 3 years now, and I am telling you LOTS of people are pissed with this product they are trying to sell us... these tickets are not cheap! I love the Texans, but these guys look like they got there head in the dirt... SHOW SOME DAMN PRIDE AND PLAY FOOTBALL

Yeah you have the right to show disapproval, but is booing them going to improve their performance?

yeah I got a light bill due this month, are the Texans going to refund my 300 bucks I wasted on this sunday? people booing arnt concerned about the players feelings, thought I didnt need to say that..... and the Texans dont seem too worried about raising there ticket prices 2 years in a row, and giving us this product? These guys need to show some backbone, and others dont need to worry about the players selfesteem.... everyone does that, everyone involved will be ok..... these guys looked like they never played football before these last 2 weeks.... Buffalo looked like champs against us last week, you see how they looked this week? lol its going to be a long seasons guys get comfy

One thing the Texans organization can NOT complain about is the fan support around here which has/is excellent.

They sell out every game; fans are rabid about their support. All to Houston's credit.

But like any love affair the honeymoon is eventually over.

The honeymoon here is over.

These guys earn millions. They get free cars and free dinners. They're treated like kings when they go out.

So give your subjects something to be proud of Texans!

If you spent 300 bucks on the game instead of paying your light bill that's your own fault...

Do you really think our cheering is what is going to turn this team around?

Just asking...maybe you are right.

I am a season ticket holder dude..... how would I have spent 300 bucks on the game? no... I had to put THOSANDS up to see this... the point was our whole worrying about there feelings..... they put a poor product on the field, we are not going to get check in the mail.... so if people wanna boo * they should* they have every right, we have stood for 4 years and paid and cheered for a sub .500 team --- dont think these grown mean need someone to clap there hands when carr is getting tossed around like a rag doll -- some how I dont think he is worried about what the fans think--- get my point -- this is a BUSSINESS for the TEXANS its all ABOUT MILLIONS of dollars-- you as a fan may treat it as something personall..... but its all about MONEY in the long run... and we are providing the funds for these guysto suit up every sunday --- and here you are concerned about some 6-2 250 pound, millionair, porche driving guys feelings--- lol its easy doing that when you dont spend 300 bucks every sunday to watch this product!

I am not saying fans don't have the right to boo, but what's the point? Does it help anything? No. Am i concerned about their feelings? No. But you guys are complaining about their performance when booing only hurts confidence which hurts performance. All you are doing is complaining about your money. If you don't like it sit at home and watch the game.

I love this team, I'll cheer them but I will boo them and be upset if they continue to look like they are not prepared for the games coming sunday.

They are a bad team and Casserlys moves have failed. Capers wants to run the ball but we get so far behind that we cannot. SInce we cant run we make up for it by not pass blocking. Luckily, our Receivers make up for the lack of pass blocking by dropping the ball when it comes their way.

Its sad that this team is not coached well and not prepared and look like a Division 2 college team out there.

I remember watching ESPN and they were showing how smart Ed Reed was and he was using the Texans video to show the mistakes and what they were doing wrong against a team they were going to play. It was embarassing, much like I am right now to be a Texans fan. Its so bad my 5 friends from Pittsburgh are not celebrating.
