Quiet when Texans on "O" & other things - Houston Texans Message Board & Forum

All right, let's review:
When the Texans have the ball, we are quiet until the ball is hiked.
When the Steelers have the ball, be as loud as possible, especially when they break the huddle.
When Texans players are introduced, we yell out their last names with the announcer.
When the Texans make a first down, the announcer says something like "and that's a Texan's......" and we yell FIRST DOWN!
(It's like Rocky Horror in there.)
Also, every year, the Texan's PA usually plays AC/DC's "TNT" before the game.
This is a great time for us all to join in with the OY!....OY!.....OY! thing, but it never catches on. We do it up in 638, but no one else.
Would this not be fun if 60,000 was doing it? Let's try it this week.

Actually we do, its kinda sad. The fans at Reliant are really loud, but for the most part, the cheers are kind of unorganized. They do it right in the End Zones though.

I thought it was Thunderstruck they play before the game. You know "thunder, Thunder"

we in 634 will try to join in. It would help if they turn the PA up -PLEASE !

I second Marcus's post. If the team plays as bad as it did vs. Buffalo, I'm going to boo the sh*t out of them. If enough of us do it, perhaps that will get Mr. McNair's attention that we're not going to accept a lousy product.

Hope it doesn't come to that though. I'd much rather cheer the team, because we'll all happy when it does well. I was in a bad mood all week.

I'm not a big complainer (hush Vinny). If I'm not happy at Walmart, then next time I need groceries I go to HEB. The team knows they aren't playing well. I was depressed about the Bills game most of the week, but I can't bring myself to boo them.

No offense or anything, but the Texans Power Towel? Isn't that kind of derivative? I thought there was another fan base in the league that started up with the towel thing a long time ago, but I can't quite place it...

Yes we do need to be quiet and if you listen hard enough you can hear the opposing defense laughing their asses off because they know it's another run play.
