If you can't see that no QB in NFL history could succeed with this offensive line, I submit that you don't know much about football.

My views on the game.

- At times, Carr did had plenty of time to throw the ball. I never saw him check other receivers, he tends to lock on way too often.
-However, the O-line could have done better. The pocket collapsed pretty quickly.
-Buchanon was definitely the dog on defense in this game. He was toasted on several occasions.
-We only pressured Losman by blitzing.
- Robinson was very impressive. He was barely ever thrown to.
- The defense in the middle is tougher than I expected, the Bills got most of their rushing yards on the outside.
-I think our defense in general is going to be just fine.
-The entire offense needs to regroup... It's only Week One, I think we'll be alright.

I have always liked David Carr but he looks shell-shocked to me! I think the poor guy has been sacked so many times that he seems to expect it on every pass play.

Colts fan here...

I started posting here last year, and I'm not here to troll...but IMHO, what this team needs is a good old QB controversy. I say put Carr on the bench...play Ragone, who is fresh off of a NFL Europe championship, (and MVP if I'm not mistaken). This guy is a proven winner, and knows how to get it done. Not to mention that it would light a fire under Carr's behind. What Carr really needs is to get his hair cut short, and tell his wife to just deal with it...he's got to play football, not be cute.

Good luck to the Texans, though...(with the exception of the 2 games against the Colts!!!) Most of you here are some good fans, and you deserve a playoff berth this season. I'll be posting here from time to time, I get tired of talking with homers on the Colts board, and since I live in Houston, I might run into some of you at the game on 10/23. I'm in section 115.

all you who think Carr is blameless for this loss need to actually watch the game, with your eye's open. Carr had a very nice pocket to throw his second INT into triple coverage from. On his first INT he was outside scrambling, but made a ROOKIE mistake of a) not looking downfield when the receiver WAS actually open and b) throwing across his body while running which almost always results in an INT.

The fumble, I'll give that one to the O-line not stopping the rush. The 3rd INT I will even be generous enough to think Carr was trying to score and forcing a bad pass to do so.

Carr is NOT a rookie. Stop treating him like he still is, even though he plays like one most of the time.

And I say that we test this hypothesis by starting Dave Ragone next week. That way if we beat the Steelers and he does well we all win (except David Carr) but if he gets destroyed by the Steeler D then we still have Banks alive in one piece to keep backing up the vindicated David Carr.

He had the same oline last year and had decent numbers. Dont forget we just played the Bills defense.

just for the record, point out in my post where I even tried to count how many times Carr had a pocket around him. I said,

which is a quite true statement.

Heck I will even admit that it was one of the VERY few times during the game that he did actually have a pocket around him.

But on THAT interception you can't blame the line for not holding off the rushers, Carr simply threw an interception. Don't sugar coat it, or try and say he was rushed into the throw or any of the other myriad of excuses the Carr Lovers like to hide behind. That one was squarely on Carr's shoulders.

As was his first INT., IMHO. He should know by his FOURTH year as a QB, which throws are simply NOT smart throws. That was a dumb throw. Plain and simple. He made dumb decisions and they resulted in INT's. He has always done these exact same things and yet the Carr HOMERS on here can't, or simply WON'T see it.

I don't think blocking was the issue Carr, just simply holds the ball forever...waiting for AJ to get open, he doesn't even glance at his other options...I think Gaff got so use to it he didn't bother to look back on that one play.
