Brian Westbrook... Anyone know exactly? - Houston Texans Message Board & Forum

What's going on with Westbrook now? I don't know exactly but I saw some print on him cutting off negotiations of his contract with Philly, but don't know if I read it correctly. Is he done there or did he settle or what? and if he's gone can we get him???
Someone please tell me. I don't know what I missed but clear me up on this before I get too curious or anxious please. Thanks!

We just signed DD to a contract extension so even if Westbrook becomes a free agent, dont hold your breath. We dont need him anyway IMO.

DD and Westbrook are very similar as far as how they're used. As far as the contract talks with Westbrook I imagine they'll resume them at the end of the season. He'll be with the Eagles for the upcoming season.

I'm hoping this hangs over his head or something for Week 1 because I;m going up against him in FF. I guess I'll be rooting for Atlanta in that game....
Anyway, Westbrook is over-rated as a runnimg back anyway, he is just a beneficiary of a pass-happy offense that allowes him to catch the ball out of the backfield and as a wide reciver....

Yeah, he's on my FF team as well. Per Yahoo FFL it was noted that he just cut negotiations with the Eagles as they were too far aprt in expectations. He said he'll play his game like he always does but as for future negotiations with the Eagles - that's off.

So, he'll play well to get that major offseason contract from someone - but apparently the Eagles are out.
