I'm old school, meaning I think he's just fat. Look at that gut, and on such a young kid! Sorry, but in today's NFL, teams mistake bulk/gristle for muscle. Sure those OLs are hard to move; it's called INERTIA. I have an aunt that could play OL for somebody if they can take him. |

LMAO, yet so many get onto Bobby Knight for what he does, thus calling the players "victims". Some people just don't react well to screaming.....maybe his father yelled at him or beat him....you never know.

Yeah, he's a baby, but what's with all the fat comments? He's a friggin DT, and I don't know how many nose tackles are gifted with sculpted abs.
The patriots have had two big fat fat DTs in the past 2 years, Ted Washington, and Keith Traylor. The ravens had Siragusa, and the bucs had McFarland. All huge DT's and all made for a very successful defense. Who really cares if his stomach hangs?

The difference is those guys have good strength even for DTs. Wright didn't impress anyone with his strength which is what those heavy DTs really need to compete. Right now he's just kind of a blob.

Yep, fat doesn't necessarily mean weak. I know one guy I used to work with years ago who's real fat. He'll tell you he's fat (not that it's hard to miss) but I swear I've seen him wrestle big old arcade games that I couldn't even budge and load them up on the truck without even breaking a sweat.
You can pile fat on top of fat or you can pile fat on top of muscle. Both ways you're going to be big but that's about where the similarity ends.

NFL players will only take so much abuse before they revolt. Saban will learn the hard way that these are professionals, playing for money and not him, and this ain't college.
He might be able to make a rookie cry, but he should be careful with some of the veterans. A lot of those dudes are crazy. (Can you imagine how a Randy Moss would react? Probably be a little violent.) |
