The other post was the most UNDERRATED (sorry I got the title screwed up)
Which Houston Texan deserves all the heat that they take? My vote is for Mckinney. I'd even feel better seeing Mark Bruener snapping the ball. |

Bad taste, half of the guys on this list do not deserve any criticism at all, much less your somewhat insulting taglines. Support your team man. :brickwall

I actually believe you have to take the bad from the good.. I was going to pick Mckinney or walker because of the returns on the am't of money they make. thinking about it, Walker was coming off an injury last season and has actually made the probowl.. McKinney to me is the weakest link of the line..yet he is actually a guard playing center. I like Billy Miller, but I think as fans we lost sight on how good he is.. 1st year with us, Billy was everything, yet we had no AJ or the OL was actually worse than it is now, so Billy was the bright spot.. Actual, starting NFL talent around the offense (no offense to the guys that started back then ,but they were considered lower tier talent around the NFL, and yes they busted their butts as much as the next guy) and then we see why other teams didn't want Billy.
Thanks to the salary cap era. If I had to chose overall who the Texans might cut next year based on salary/return value (I don't like to use the overrated term)...We will be looking for a center and/or DL ..if we find one of better value..we will upgrade speed and youth. IMO is that PC correct?

I would consider taking Payne off the list. Other than that, everyone on there is open to critism. My vote went to the Bull Fighter, Mckinney. He is WAY overrated. He would be my starter at Waterboy and Lion Killer.

I see a lot of votes for McKinney on here, but I don't remember anyone EVER saying he is or was one of the better centers(or O-linemen for that matter) in the league. McKinney is average at best and has been reported as such. I voted for G-Skunk because he IS highly regarded as an impact player but his production has fallen off for various reasons. I think he'll pick it up some this year with TJ pushing him. I think the other 2 most overrated are already gone (Foreman and Sharper).

I think Peek's production is low because he's not been given much opportunity yet--maybe he didn't deserve it, or maybe he did. I think he did, but it doesn't matter now because he's gonna get it. One thing about Peek is that he's going to get to the QB. Even if nobody else on this team can, HE WILL. As far as Foreman and Sharper, I'd say Foreman was pretty overrated, yeah. I'm not going to miss him, I don't think. Sharper, on the other hand, was both an excellent run stopper and, unlike Foreman, adequate at pass coverage when he had to do it. Maybe he was overrated a little, because of maybe losing a step or something, but not very much. I'm not upset that Sharper's gone, but I will miss him.

Since only one of the guys on this list has ever been hyped to the point of being overrated even a small bit, Carr has to be the vote.

"Why put Carr, Seth and Billy up there?" Quote from Hulk 75
I put those guys on because they seemed to take a lot of heat from people on the MB. I like Carr and think he just needs a good offensive co-ordinator who knows how to fix the protection. Billy seems to get bashed quite a bit, for his non-blocking and non-getting open ability........maybe its just cuz he hasn't had the playing time ? Seth is on their cuz I've seen him called overrated since he's injured every season..........he's a great player when he's on the field. I didn't vote for any of these guys, I just wanted to put the guys up who I'd seen get bashed the most on this board, and figure out who the consensus is. I'm glad that Mckinney and Palmer are ahead in the voting..........I think most TRUE Texans Fans would agree that we need upgrades over both of those guys. TRUE FANS - tell it how it really is TRUE FANS - know who the REAL weak links are |

I was going to go Sheila Jackson Lee, but she wasn't on the list.

I voted but for who I feel deserves the heat/criticism and to me its chris palmer and the sudden change to a zone blocking scheme last year. Not only that the personnel switch to put Wand at LT after 0 starts the year before and switching his blocking assignments. Not to mention rotating tight ends in running and passing situations. But we still came away with a better record than the year before.
But if you want the Most overrated texan it is Tony Boselli hands down. He was the cornerstone of our O line and he didnt even play a single down. All he did was retire. Where is his name? or How about jermaine Ill retire for a year then return and play for the jags next year lewis? or Matt I cant even wrap up a christmas present so ill dive at the guy Stevens?
