In Texans losses, Gaff averaged 2 catches for 28 yards per game. In wins, his stats almost doubled to 4 catches for 54 yards per game and we were undefeated last year when Gaff caught a TD pass. And who on our roster who has the highest career QB rating??? It's Gaffney (99.2 QB Rating)

I actually beleive that there are two underrated players, first off on the D hands down it has to be Jason "The Beast" Babin and on the O its got to be Derrick "I am so open" Armstrong. I plan to keep my eye on both of these guys because I think that this season the are going to turn some heads.

Just a gut feeling but Armstrong looked like he had the potential to be a special player at times last year. Then I saw he averaged one catch a year the second half of the year. Kind of weak but he could come on like Drew Bennett or Houshmanzadeh did in their 3rd or 4th year. Great hands and a few years in the league creates the possibilty for a drastic increase in performance. Only a few guys come in and contribute a lot immediately. I wouldn't be surprised if he was our #2 at all with Gaffney in the slot by year end, maybe opening day. He's definitely my greatest upside guy but AJ is my darkhorse most underrated. Yes he made the Pro Bowl but you don't hear him talked about as an elite WR. Just a prediction but after this year I think he'll be heralded as the one of the next great WR's to ever play in the league. And maybe we'll start hearing so much about T.O. That is getting ridiculously old.

[quote=F-minus67]Domanick Davis is underrated, he has been the workhorse for this team for the past two years. And after two consecutive 1,000 yard rushing seasons people still want to get rid of him. Even though he had more rushing touchdowns than Curtis Martin(12), Deuce McAllister(9), Ahman Green(7), Corey Dillon(12), Edgerrin James(9) and as many rushing TDs as Steven Jackson(4), Chris Brown(6) and Brian Westbrook(3) combined. All some people talk about is how he gets injuried and fumbled a few times.[/QU
I would agree with you just from a jag fan standpoint

aj is what make DD go.. I don't think DD is bad,but I don't think he is great.. he is a solid player
as for underrated player.. I'd have to go with offensively..Gaffney ..defensively...Demarcus

I've seen the cases for Peek, which is a good pick. "Petey " and Babin as well. But no Texan player is more under-rated than Seth Payne. NT is the cornerstone of the 3-4. And it has been no coincidence that as Payne went, so did the overall defense. The guy flat out causes major disruption to opposing offensive lines.

I gotta say it's a toss up between Gaffney and Armstrong on O and has to be Babin on D. Faggins has had some pretty good publicity by the pundits.

The most underrated for sure is Faggi
ns. But if he keep on doing what he does he won't be underrated for long. They will know the name Faggins

Kris Brown... he had ice in his veins when we played KC and he hit that 49 yard game winner...

On offense, Derrick Armstrong followed closely by Moran Norris.
On defense, (if 100% healthy) Seth Payne, with a close 2nd to Faggins.

Gaffney easily the most undervalued Texan...our fans don't even seem to appreciate him. Pitts, Babin, & Stanley make my list too. Pitts is a punishing run blocker but most fans only look at sack totals and don't appreciate good run blocking. Babin is fierce against the run...but again, most fans only look at sack totals. Stanley is one of the best punters in the NFL.

Earlier I said that Faggins was our most underated player but the more I thought about it I realized that I never hear anybody other than Texans fans talk about Drob.

I'm shocked that nobody has mentioned Morlon Greenwood, is this list to include only past years Texans players? Here is a guy who led his team in tackles (108) never misses a practice or a game, the Dolphins let the Texans sign him as a free agent with only a supplemental draft pick (maybe a 4th or 5th rounder in 06) as compensation. this move also allowed the Texans to let JS go and reshuffle the linebackers including starting Peek. Yet his name is very rarely mentioned, but in fact he may be the key addition and most underrated addition to the Texans

Zach Thomas led the dolphins with 145 tackles but he is one of the best in the league. Being second in tackles behind him is still impresive. I agree he is definitly one of our most underated players.
