Interesting. He's an idiot anyway. He should have stayed in school he was never going to get drafted regardless.

If he stayed another year and worked on football more, including his 40 time he might have got a chance at being drafted for STs then parlaying that into a RB gig in Seattle.

He was wandering the wilderness... couldn't do it for 40 days though.

I'd love to see Smallwood fall to us at 3-65. But he'll likely improve his 40 at his pro-day.

He said that he left the Combine because G-d told him to. As a physician, we look at it this way.............If you talk to G-d, it's prayer. If G-d talks to you (and drugs aren't involved), it's usually Schizophrenia.

It sounds like a poorly constructed excuse to not do the tests to me.

NFP's Monday Morning M.D.: The Combine is over, but the medical work is not done

Quote:
The NFL Scouting Combine medical exams have concluded, but the data will continue to be analyzed by the medical staff. A myriad of medical information will continue to pour in. Medical staff will have access to review every diagnostic study online. Often, this means looking more closely at actual MRI images before assigning grades.

In the past, I would begin this detailed analysis on the flight home from Indianapolis. It will take a week or two before final medical grades are assigned to the 335 athletes.

Even then, some of the medical grades will change, as typically 30-40 players are called back to Indianapolis for medical rechecks in early April.

Don't know if this was brought up or how many Rockets fans are here, but Johnny Manziel was with Arian Foster at the Rockets game tonight.. I guess he feels like it's one of those construction jobs, where it's not who u are... but who u know lol

More medical rechecks stuff...

Combine exams revealed #Auburn RB Tre Mason had a bone in his wrist that wasn’t healing properly. Needs surgery, knocks him out of OTAs, etc

Once again. I WILL NOT be having any type of surgery on my body! Well and healthy. Media is trying to paint a picture!
Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet

Teams have been informed differently.

Per @MoveTheSticks, #Auburn RB @TreMason21’s wrist ailment discovered at Combine shouldn’t affect his stock. Still mid-to-late 2nd rounder.

Talked to 6 teams on Tre Mason. No one says it hurts his stock at all
Jene Bramel @JeneBramel
Quote:
Orthopedic hand/wrist specialist told me Mason's bone may have scarred but not fully heal. If so, Mason could re-injure bone more easily.

That doesn't necessarily conflict with Mason's claim that mulitple teams have told him he'd pass their physical.

Am told that at least one team, and likely several, clearly believes Mason needs surgery.

Source confirmed to me yesterday what @RapSheet reported last week: Tre Mason has fractured scaphoid that had not fully healed in February.
