Default A final mock draft

So, I decided to do a final mock draft. I tried to be as realistic as possible and fill most of our holes. In the later rounds I took several guys that stock were falling because of injuries. But IŽd prefer to take a chance on real talent that could help our team. So here we go:

Round 1, Pick 1: Jadeveon Clowney - DE/OLB

I went back and forth and actually watched some tape. I still kinda thing Robinson would be the smart pick, but I like the wow factor he. Watching Clowney is exciting. Yeah, there are plenty of things you get mad about on tape, but he has by far the most talent in this draft. I believe Watt, Cushing and Vrabel can light a fire under his ass.

TRADE: Our #33 and #65 for SD #25

Round 1, Pick 25: Teddy Bridgewater - QB

IŽve been high on Bridgewater and wanted us to use the #1 pick on him before, I was down on him after reading all the scouts had to stay after his proday. But I went back and rewatched some tape. I see the most accurate passer for 0-20 yards in this draft (those are the most important throws in the NFL), I see great pocket presence while still looking downfield and making plays, I see someone that goes through his progressions and I see someone that rarely does mistakes. Plus I read about him having all the control over the offense, calling plays and dissecting the defense. I may be wrong about him, but to me he looks like a future top15-top10 QB in the league. I hate to give up those two picks, but I don`t want Cleveland to snag him up.

Round 4, Pick 101: MICHAEL SCHOFIELD - OT

A great runblocker at RT with decent size. Could slide inside if we need help at G or if Williams becomes fully healthy again (and lives up to potential). He has some problems with speed rushers, but should do better than Newton here. Foster would approve that pick.

Round 4, Pick 135: Shayne Skov - ILB

Was plagued with some injuries and reportedly didn`t work out great for drafts - but those are the only reasons he might still be available here. A guy with a similar temperament like Cushing that is great against the run and a physical tackler. And he is a true leader that rises to the occassion, when the game is on the line.

Round 5, Pick 141: Deandre Coleman - NT

More of a run-stopper, space eater, than a true pass rusher. But we have Watt and Clowney for that now. He is strong as a bull and has the agility and hands to split a double team at times.

Round 6, Pick 177: Joe Don Duncan - TE

A division II standout that that put up pretty good stats with 135 receptions for 1,994 yards and 22 touchdowns over his career. He lacks the size IŽd like in our TE (only 6Ž3). He was the strongest TE at the combine, but had some medical problems that held him out of the senior bowl. Could be a real weapon at TE, but he could also play some FB or even HB for us.

Round 6, Pick 181: Bene Benwikere - CB

Somewhat of a ballhawk at CB. He doesn`t have ideal speed or strength, that`s why he is a 6th rounder. But he had a pretty strong season with 55 tackles, 16 passes broken up and five interceptions.

Round 6, Pick 211: Ben Gardner - DE

A very productive DE at Stanford, his season was also cut short by an injury. A strong and smart guy who can get to the QB but also defend the run and cause fumbles. Could be our new Antonio Smith.

Round 7, Pick 216: Tevin Reese - WR

A real speedster that would probably be the slot receiver BoB wants. His season was cut short because of a wrist injury, but that should be ok now. The season before he caught 53 passes for 957 yards and nine touchdowns.

Round 7, Pick 256: Marion Grice - HB

Maybe the best receiving HB in the whole draft, but also a weapon on the ground. Had 14 TDs and a 5.2 ypc.

Thanks man. If we can somehow pull of those first two picks, IŽd be ecstatic. The rest would just be gravy. Although IŽd believe we`d get 4-5 starters out of that draft, and that`s always a good haul.
