Texans can’t afford to wait on Whisenhunt because O’Brien is such a hot prospect.

Just curious.... have we heard that anyone else is interested in interviewing O'Brien? The Browns have said not interested & I'd imagine Tampa is going to steer away from a college coach... & probably away from "old school" as well.

Has the Lions or 'skins suggested they are interested? Or is this just media hype?

He interviewed for 3 or 4 spots last season. Rumor he turned down the Eagles.

He talked & walked from Browns/Eagles and declined to talk to Cards/Chargers last year.

Other teams aren't wasting their time on a guy who's agreed in principle with another team.

I haven't heard anything solid from anywhere else. The FANS are interested in him in Minnesota and Detroit but I haven't heard of any FO's being interested, yet.

Meh...... I think O'Brien is the kind of guy that will want to bring in his own QB & not be saddled with a project. As enticing as Stafford is, he'll have his pick of a class with 3 or 4 Staffords if he comes to Houston.

While we don't have Megatron, we're pretty close to having everything else Tom Brady & Joe Flacco had in their early years. Andre & DeAndre & Posey. Arian. 3/5ths & a half of an OL...... Jj Watt, Brian Cushing & a relatively young talented defensive backfield.

I do like Detroit. I do believe they're a very talented underachieving team. Whoever goes there will be set up to win immediately. But a better opportunity than what we've got here in Houston?

& that's a reporter saying O'Brien is in demand.... most likely based on last year. So far this year, it's us & us competing for his services.

Yep. Detroit is more of a Ken Whisenhunt gig. Whisenhunt clearly needs a QB in place in order to make an impact.

Also, a side note: the writer, Mike Rosenberg, spent many years working in Detroit, so he may have bias.
