Default Re: Teddy Bridgewater

I think Teddy would be perfect for BOB's systems, because he's use to calling audibles and recognizing how the defense is set up, his football knowledge is perfect for his system, if he's there.. I hope we don't pass him up.. could be the biggest steal in the draft

Barring a trade back into the first round, doesn't look like any of the remaining teams will be drafting a QB. In other words, Teddy's going to fall out of the first round.

Did the teams get it wrong? After the pro-day, Teddy started to fall hard, on the media boards, based on what teams were saying about him. Then there was more poor reports coming out about personal workouts. Then there was more poor reports pointing towards his demeanor & ability as a leader.

Did they get it wrong?

Before the pro-day, all we saw were the opinions of reporters, scout wannabees, & former scouts. No one associated with any particular team. They thought Bridgewater was the best QB in this draft, despite his extremely lean build, despite his questionable arm strength, despite the poor competition he faced, despite having the benefit of the #1 defense...

Were they right?

Of course time will tell, but we know for sure, the media did not read the perceived needs of the 32 teams correctly & the media did not read teams perception on QBs right.... at least not until the pro day.

No one knows that.

No one knows that Teddy Bridgewater was actually a first rounder on team's boards prior to that.

It may be that the Media finally just started to catch up with what the teams already knew.

What if we don't take Bridgewater or Carr? What if we take a linebacker or something and still grab one of the other QBs? Hm.

Dunno. An offense with no QB and a washed-up Arian Foster won't win many games.

No way its Carr.

Nope.

I don't think we had any intention of going Bridgewater. I don't think we had any intention of moving up.

Must be nice to be allowed in the war room and know what the Texans brass is doing.

Not with so many teams hurting for quarterbacks.

Just look at what Cleveland did to get Manziel. None of the teams picking between them @ 26 and the Tinbreds @ 11 had a real QB need yet they made a move up to ensure none of those QB needy teams jumped them. They made sure they got their guy.

I think its more likely that they:
A) Didn't like any of them.
B) Were content with whichever of Manziel , Bridgewater & HWWNBM2 were left at 33 , especially after they let Minny jump ahead of them for Bridgewater.

We'll get some insight tomorrow when they pick (or trade the pick).
