I like this answer. If OB feels this way & doesn't think the other QBs can get him to the same place, I think he should take Bridgewater. Top 10 offenses aren't easy to come by, but like you said, doesn't guarantee winning.

Mental is what separates the average, the good, and the greats.
Are you implying he doesn't have the quick thinking to make it in the pros because he's not a great public speaker?

Watch a couple of his games and watch him quickly diagnose plays and dominate them. Quick public speaking reactions aren't always indicative of quick reactions to the job.

They'll put TB on the scales at Radio City Music Hall right before the first round so teams will know whether to draft him or not.

If we were playing high school teams, or if the Jags didn't hire Gus Bradley, that might mean something.

#3 Florida team in the Nation in the Sugar Bowl stacked full of NFL players when Louisville had 3 maybe 4 isn't quite high school comparison worthy.

We've done this song and dance for over 100 pages now, what are you doing right now? Bringing up old arguments from the first pages in this thread to stir the pot some more?

Thank you! Let's stick to the more current topics. Like the fact that he comes off as not so bright in interviews or that he just doesn't appear to have a high first round QB picks leadership presence or how far will he fall in this draft. I beleive that's where this thread is currently at.

If tape is all that mattered Aaron. Donald would be in discussion for the number one overall pick. No one has better game tape than him.
Yep,it really dropped matt ryan and cam newton. In the case of ryan,he didn't have a strong sr yr either. In regards to aaron donald,he will be the 1st interior tackle taken. Who is to say how high he goes? He might go 2 to jax or 5 to oak,we don't know. I like donald a lot,but its a waste to attempt to play him in a 3-4.

I agree he doesn't fit in a 3/4 well.

We come up in this trade conversation taking Clowney in the first then trading back into the first round and taking TB before Cleveland can nab him with their 26th pick.

well, if they go manziel or bortles at 4...then there's a bigger chance he'd be there at 33 if he were to drop.

Call your shot bro. Say how far he will drop, I'll say how far he won't.

Think getting Cleveland's #4 and #26 (problem is they'd probably take a QB off the board at #1)... Take Mack or Robinson and 4, then package the 26 plus our 2:1 to move up around St. Louis 13 territory to snag Bridgewater.

Wow
I don't see why they whould want to trade with us to get manziel/bortles @1.1 to be honest

Default Re: Teddy Bridgewater

I don't think trading up in any scenario is realistic for THIS Houston Texans team. Trading up generally involves giving up multiple picks in the current year.

We have 0 personnel to run any defense that we are claiming to be able to run. Whether it be RACs 3-4 we envisioned with him coming here or this phantom "70% Nickel" (I don't believe we are for a second if that's not clear), we have no ability to run them with any semblance of NFL talent.

We've got JJ Watt and absolute rif raf accompanying him on that line. We need every single one of our 11 picks, and worse... we need all 11 of them to hit. I won't be shocked when about 8 of these picks are used on defense.

With that said, realistically we need more picks, not less higher quality ones. We hit the field with this defense in September we give up 35+ every week. We have 1 injury (which we will), we are even worse.
