I'd like that better. Williams probably won't be there later in the 3rd, and Jordan Reed to me is another OD or Graham as far as size. If they went TE in the 2nd I'd go with Vance McDonald who is moving up draft boards, and is a bigger TE with a lot of upside.

gets Amerson; trade the 3rd from #27 & Texan own #89 for early 20s second round for Brandon Williams; then use Texans own second round #57 for Da'rick Rogers .

IMO, Aboushi will probably go in the late 2nd or early 3rd. He had a bad Combine but he had a great season and played LT very well, some guys are just better football players than workout warriors. He has great size for the position and smart teams judge players based mostly on game film not Combine numbers. The Combine is used to solidify what they see on film.

Amerson played CB in college but I think he'll play FS in the NFL. We need some quality depth in our secondary at whatever position they play him at. JoJo is getting much more expensive soon, KJ will be an expensive FA soon, McCain is a good nickle nothing more, and Harris has potential but if he were good he'd be this years nickle instead of re-signing McCain. You have to draft a CB at least a year before your ready for them to play. CB is the second hardest position to translate from college to the NFL behind QB. Like Rick Smith said "You can never have to many good CB's".

27. Houston Texans: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
The Texans have needed a No. 2 receiver for years, but now that Andre Johnson is into his 30s, it won't be long before they have to secure a new No. 1 wideout for Matt Schaub.

As Charlie reported recently, Justin Hunter is receiving tons of first-round interest.

28. Denver Broncos: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
Mike Klis of the Denver Post recently wrote that the Broncos are looking for larger cornerbacks to copy Seattle's model. Johnthan Banks certainly fits the bill at 6-2, so he could be targeted with this pick.

The Broncos don't have a current need for a cornerback, but they definitely will soon. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie will be a free agent next spring, while Champ Bailey will be due $9 million in a walk year, so he'll probably be cut if he plays like he did against the Ravens.

29. New England Patriots: Jesse Williams, NT, Alabama
The Patriots don't have much of an interior pass rush. They may spend an early draft choice on a complement for Vince Wilfork. Jesse Williams has the size and scheme versatility that Bill Belichick likes in his defensive linemen.

30. Atlanta Falcons: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
The Falcons are really hurting in two areas: defensive end and cornerback. The latter is a huge issue with Dunta Robinson gone and Brent Grimes appearing as though he'll sign elsewhere. Desmond Trufant fills a need and happens to be one of the top players available.

31. San Francisco 49ers: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
The 49ers obviously have Vernon Davis as one of Colin Kaepernick's top targets, but Jim Harbaugh loves utilizing multiple tight ends. He used to have Delanie Walker as a No. 2 tight end option, but Walker signed with the Titans this offseason.

A second tight end is a bit of a luxury pick, but with so many selections, the 49ers can afford to make one like this. Plus, Tyler Eifert is one of the top players available.

32. Baltimore Ravens: Keenan Allen, WR, California

This pick is all about figuring out which player will fall to the Ravens. Ozzie Newsome frequently scoops up plummeting prospects, and there's no reason to believe that this year will be any different. The tumbling prospect could easily be Keenan Allen because he's injured and hasn't been able to work out.

Allen makes a ton of sense for the Ravens. He would fill the void created by the Anquan Boldin trade to the 49ers. It's also worth noting that Daniel Jeremiah, who used to work for Baltimore, listed Allen as a top option for the Ravens on Path to the Draft.

Texans take Hunter and pass on Allen!!! I wouldn't be happy if the Draft fell like this. As a matter of fact, I didn't like hardly any of the Texans picks in this mock. Bostic in the 3rd is OK and Mauti in the 5th is OK, but I don't think they need to draft both. As for Reed (6'3" 240 lbs), he's basically OD and Graham part 3. They need a bigger TE that can block. No, I don't like this at all!

Can't see the hype about Allen..yeah he's got the size, but aside from that he doesn't impress me on tape at all. Looks slow, route running, hands and blocking are average to below average. Reminds me of Crabtree/Boldin without the great hands those 2 have. He's a possession guy at best. I'd take at least 4 other guys before i looked at him.

They updated their mock on 4/3. I like this one better than the last but it still needs work IMO.

1) Justin Hunter, WR, Tenn. (6'4", 200 lbs) They are definitely stuck on Hunter with this pick. I'm still not sold!

2) Zach Ertz, TE, Stanford (6'5", 249 lbs) This would be much better than their last pick at #2, Jordan Reed, but I don't see how he will fall this far. He's projected to go late 1st to early 2nd, but you never know. I'd be ecstatic if the Texans picked him but I think they will go in a different direction and get a TE later.

3) Jon Bostic, ILB, Florida (6'1", 245 lbs) Same as last mock. Not a bad pick and fills a need.

3) JJ Wilcox, S, Georgia So. (6'0", 213 lbs) Changed from Rambo. I don't know anything about Wilcox except he played 1 yr at SS and was invited to the Senior Bowl. He's a project and Ed Reed and Manning can show him the ropes.

4) Brennan Williams, OT, N. Carolina (6'6", 318 lbs) Changed from Aboushi. Don't know much about this pick either. He had torn labrum and didn't workout at the Combine. He's raw and will be a project but could be a steal if he passes his medical. His Dad played 11 yrs in the NFL as a DE.

5) Michael Mauti, ILB, Penn St. (6'2", 243 lbs) Same as last mock, and I still feel the Texans will not draft 2 ILB's. He also has a medical issues as well.

Overall, I like this mock better than the last, but it still didn't address the NT position and I think the Texans will take a NT/DT somewhere in the 2nd or 3rd round. Would love to get Ertz but I don't think he will last that long, and I don't think the Texans will draft a TE that early, but you never know.
