I have no problems with him going out and partying as long as he doesn't drink and drive..

Oh wait, he was busted.

I know coach Joe does not teach running backwards, and he is not that fast...

BTW, I want him to succeed, he seems to be a good kid, just a little misdirected right now.
Now you can argue whether or not the luv ya Blue guys were any good or not. One thing you can't argue is whether or not they partied. Max Magee proved in Super bowl II, partying and football excellence aren't mutually exclusive. J.J. f0lks up because he's young and inexperienced. Sobriety has nothing to do with it.

There is no argument. Any team that gets to consecutive conference championship games by winning two road games both years is pretty good.

One would think that considering that was the team he was coaching.

Don't get me wrong... I'm a big Jacoby homer... but he will not make the roster if he doesn't shape up. That's just the cold dead truth.

As Lance pointed out, our depth at WR is unreal. With Anderson looking like an all-star, JJ will need to step it up a notch or be left behind.

He has to get some glue for those hands or he is going to be looking for a job, maybe not this year but he will have numbered days if he continues to give the other team the ball in our territory.

JJ had boatloads of talent, but is a tad short on maturity. If that can be fixed, he'll be a hell of a football player.

I don't know how many may remember this off season incident of DUI........somewhat humorous if you can see past the seriousness of the situation:

Quote:
Houston Texans wide receiver Jacoby Jones was asleep behind the wheel, car in drive, with his foot on the brake when officers approached to arrest him on a charge of suspicion of drunken driving Sunday, prosecutors said Monday.

Jones, the Texans' third-round draft pick last year, was in the driver's seat of his late-model Nissan Altima while stopped in a traffic lane at Chartres and West Gray near downtown, prosecutors said Monday.

Jones posted bail after being arrested early Sunday morning, Assistant District Attorney Douglas Richards said.

Jones' attorney, Chip Lewis, said the football player had not been drinking around the time he was arrested.

He said he may have had one drink earlier in the day.

"I'm confident we'll get to the bottom (of it)," Lewis said.

Houston police approached Jones, 23, about 3 a.m. after motorists alerted them, Richards said. He said a breath test showed Jones' blood-alcohol content was 0.13. A motorist is legally intoxicated when his blood-alcohol level is 0.08 or above.

Jones was not involved in an accident, Richards said. He said an HPD officer specializing in DWI arrests tried to wake Jones up, then got in on the passenger side and put the car in park before waking him.

"It can be very dangerous for officers," Richards said. "Most people are startled when they are woken up by the police and realize they are still driving."

Richards said Jones was cooperative and seemed remorseful. He was taken into custody and charged with driving while intoxicated. The bail, set at $500, was paid later Sunday morning.

Lewis said Jones was stopped safely and was wearing his seat belt when officers found him.

Let's hope Jacoby gets the message.
