iirc charles rogers tore it up in his first nfl game before the injury and... other issues. in other circumstances he could've been a star too

FoxSports' Adam Schein says A.J. is "the best WR in the NFL, better than Moss, better than Owen..."
http://video.msn.com/video.aspx?mkt=...eam?statsId=34 Its a link to a FoxSports vid about the AFC South being the toughest division in the NFL so you have to listen to the stuff about the other teams first.... |

At this stage in his career I think he is. But as someone already eluded to, it's a projection. If I were to draw comparisons of him demeanor wise, it would be another quiet, humble, all buisness type of HOF player... Barry Sanders. Now, I agree with the sentiment of the AJ not being there yet, as shortened carrears have cost great talent in the past from HOF consideration, but I do disagree with the playoff success and superbowl requirements... Barry is a shining example of not needing either.

AJ has never had double digit TDs and that is the reason he is not in the top group of fantasy WR. I would blame most of that on Carr knowing what we know now.
And last season he had 8 TDs in only 9 games, that is moving him into the top tier if he does it for an entire season. FYI Joppru was the 2nd rounder and Hollings also joined the team in 2003, but Hollings 2nd round pick was from the 2004 draft. |

Physically probably the best wr in the NFL along with Terrell Owens, Randy Moss & Braylon Edwards. I would Take Andre Johnson any day of the week over those 3 guys.

Don't forget Bolden and Fitzgerald out in AZ. They're pretty big and solid WRs too. Now whether Fitzgerald is truly worth $40 million is another thing.
