Yes, they are RFA's.
Others here can explain it better than me but basically another team would have to offer that RFA more than what we offered on a tender. At which time we could match the other teams offer and still keep the guy. For another team to snag one of our tendered RFA's they would have to offer more than the Texans and the Texans would have to decide not to match it. In this case I believe a draft pick or a compensatory draft pick is given to the Texans.

Are you really comparing Carr and Dunn in any kind of way at all?

Only that when released both owners had nice things to say about them.

Does he even have to be brought up in a discussion about Dunn, I will be so damn glad when I can read a thread without someone having to deviate and bring YKW into it for no appearant reason what so ever.

Go see a damn therapist already and let it go.

Wow. Beside the fact that it was true I was just trying to be a smartass.

Trying to drop a little humor on a cold and wet day.

Brandon Frye was a 5th round selection last year. How did he get on FA list? I do not think I've heard of a rookie signing a one year deal?

He was placed on waivers in order to be put on the practice squad last year. Then, when he was re-signed, it was for a one year contract... I think.

He was released prior to the season, thus voiding his rookie contract. Frye then went to the practice squad and was re-signed to a one year contract to the roster for the last 8 weeks of the season. The Texans retain exclusive free agent rights to Frye by tendering a contract at the 2nd year minimum level.
