SD coaching staff chooses Browns LS.

As stated before, Mario still had a shot of making it to the ProBowl through the SD coaching staff. However, they chose Ryan Pontbriand the Browns long snapper. BTW, Pontbriand went to Rice and is a native Houstonian.

Funny, but I figured the coaching staff would have selected a defensive player instead of a long snapper. Even if it wasn't Mario, Asomougha of the Raiders should have gone.

They can choose either a de, cb, lb or ls. I'm just surprised they chose a ls instead of the other three positions. They probably did need a ls for the team, I guarantee you there were some very disappointed players who got snubbed over a long snapper.

donno why....if you need a kicker why bring in a DT? (for instance) Long snapping sounds like a non critical position until you can't do it during a game.

I hope he doesn't get picked up. Get some rest, no injuries and is ready to go this summer. The Pro-Bowl is a joke anyway other than for a players resume and barganing chip come salary negotiations.
