Does anyone have video of Dunta's injury in the Raiders game they can post on here?

That would be awesome. I never got to see it myself and really would like to assess the damage done. No morbid intentions here. Just want to see how bad it was. Especially since we have some people saying that he won't be back next season as well.

I have it on DVR but no way to xfer the file.... I don't do a lot of DVD recording.

I described the injury in detail somewhere. The TV guys were describing it as 'gruesome' when it happened which had most people thinking compound leg fracture.

Basically, DRob planted his right leg as he tried to strip the ball out of the Raider WRs hands. A pile up ensued with Greenwood coming in low from Dunta's front right as Cochran came over the top from Dunta's backside creating a shear (scissors effect) load on Dunta's lower body. Dunta's foot remained planted and got caught under the bodies causing his knee joint to be bent un-naturally backward. It was ugly.

The ACL alone is a year for a lot of players and that's week 9. CBs are especially challenged while recovering from ACLs because of the demands of the position, i.e., plants, cuts, backpedals, and sprints as opposed to a lineman for example which is mostly pushing loads in one direction (plus they can wear braces).

I remember during the game the announcers said it was gruesome and that they weren't going to show the other TV angle they had of it. I'm not sure if I want to see it...

BTW, I googled his name to see how he's doing and there's a still image of the injury...I think that picture might be worse than the video...

That one? Jeezus! Last I heard he was taken off of his athletic scholarship and placed on a hardship medical one.

i dunno how many of you guys would of seen this... its the RB for the university of manitoba up here were i live... this was in the championship game... broken femor... OUCH

This stuff give me the willies. Way back when I was in HS, one of our RBs - a good friend of mine - snapped his femur as he was tackled. The break was up high near the hip and quite nasty. I played defense and was on the sideline watching. Everyone heard the snap and the screams. I remember feeling like throwing up. He was in the hospital for several weeks (having to 'go to school' while in a hospital bed) and walks with a limp to this day.

Suffice it to say that I don't have the morbid curiosity about this stuff like some of you do. I still get that warm in the face feeling when I see Theisman's snap.
