Hey, I thought the rule in the White Elephant was that a gift could be taken twice before it is "off limits" and no longer available.

Joe, I was speaking of gifts being regifted for the White Elephant. In other words, if Bill gets something he doesn't want for Christmas from his great aunte Gert, he should not bring that mega bag of tube socks to our White Elephant as his gift.

You were correct. In the White Elephant a gift may only be taken twice before it is retired and considered off limits.
