Should we IR Schaub, or just sit him, or should we allow him to play?

There's no reason to play him, if he needs surgery they need to get it over already so he can begin rehab.

If the doctors have told him that there is truly no chance for further injury, and remember it is his non-throwing shoulder, then I saw give him one more shot at it this year. He still needs all the live game time he can get if he is going to continue to improve.

That's my vote. Let's just say that I have less than 100% confidence in the Texans' medical/training staff after the Mathis deal and all the vague injuries.

How come there is no "Trade him to the Jets for McFadden" pick?

If he is healthy enough to play, then he should play. However, seeing as how the team doesn't like to shed too much light on injuries I'm not sure this will happen. He has to play though.

Start Sage and Schaub off the bench if needed. I too am not very certain about medical report. If you say he is not needed, it is like giving up on last two games. You might as well rest a lot of the starters and go with younger guys if that is the view.

Maybe we should be more concerned about preserving Sage for next year.

Against Indy, I think Rosenfels should start, and Schaub should be 2nd string.
If Schaub is feeling much better within the next week, he should start against Jacksonville. |

Artificial surface v. grass....
Artificial start Sage. Grass start Schaub.. Indy is artificial, start Sage

I can only add that (IMO) there are three guys who cannot be replaced on this team, and neither QB fits the bill. Last edited by 76Texan; 12-20-2007 at 05:33 PM. |
