I am currently arguing with someone on another forum who claims Patrick Willis is the best linebacker to come out of college in years. This person claims Willis is a better linebacker than DeMeco!!!

Two fine players...you could make a case for either one. Don't see the big deal.

Patrick is better! signed Patrick's mom. Hey RJ don't let them get to you. We know what Ryans can do. Willis is still a ? until he does it.

Like Vinny stated they are both great linebackers and it could be debated back and forth.
I'll say this though,Willis caught my eye the other day running down a WR way downfield against the Cardinals in overtime. He can move.

Vinny is right on this one both teams are lucky to have them
if anything thought DeMeco has overachieved more than Willis who was the 1st LB taken in 07 while DeMeco had to battle questions about his size & speed slipping to the 2nd rd. & the 5th LB selected in 06. speaking of LB's anyone else impressed with the Cleveland Browns 2nd rd. pick (#34 after DeMeco) D'Qwell Jackson? 06 was a strong year for LB's. |

Here's your winning argument. We've got the better value (cheaper) for the same production. Go rub his nose in that.

I wanted a trade back scenerio last year to get AJ Hawk. Imagine Hawk, Willis and D-Ryans together. Now that's just downright scary right there.
I understand this would've never happened so please don't poop on my fantasy.

I agree guys, both are good linebackers but Willis has played 11 games well while DeMeco has played those same 11 games well after winning DROY his rookie season and having to adjust to teams having an offseason to gameplan around him. AND DeMeco plays in the toughest division in football!!!

Between Willis and Ryans... Meh, I would take either one and not be the least bit disappointed..... But since we have Ryans and I'm a homer at heart... Forget Willis. He sucks!! DeMeco is the greatest thing since scotch and cold beer..

I don't think it's that ridiculous of a statement and I think that if we had the choice between Ryans and Willis in the second round of the 06 draft, we probably would've taken Willis.

D'Qwell was the LB I was targeting with our 2nd round pick, I never thought Ryans would slide to #33, so yes D'Qwell is a very good LB. |

Instead we took Amobi and stock pilled our LB core with average over the hill players.
Just like last year
