It happened. I saw it. Here is how I saw it. Brown went up to Turk to make him not feel as bad and Turk does a hand movement and laughs at how he was trying to get around the ball but slipped. I don't think it was a laugh regarding losing but the fact that he didn't know what else to do and Brown was over there. I don't like players laughing it off though and I think after the games you seem too much acceptance.

I have been sober for almost 7 years. After half time of the Titans game I wanted a drink in a bad way and although I did not fall off the wagon that game put me in a funk. I am over it now. Now like some of the players, I am quickly reaching apathy. If they can laugh at what losers they are so can I. I think the apathy, half hearted effort and acceptance of losing needs to be slapped out of some of these players and coaches.

Professional football players are paid to entertain us. That's it.

The sun still rises and sets even if your team plays bad, even if they play well. Doesn't matter.

It is nothing but entertainment, you don't like the way you are entertained, they you have to spend your time and effot on something else.

Complaining because no one was looking hostile on the sidelines or no one retailiated after the Schaub hit. Come on people get real. It is not life or death, it is just a game. These guys are businessmen playing a game.

And if a fire hasn't been lit under them by now - there is obviously no coach or player on this team that can get the rest motivated.

Good post, and spot on... but I'll agree with the bulk of the fans and say we seem to have a bit of an air of accepting losses around here.

Maybe he needs to get up in front of his teammates if he hasn't already and light a fire under these guys.

Bob Allen asked him if he was going to say that to adress the team about that and he said he was tired of talking, it was time for people to do their jobs! Not sure if he and other have been trying behind close doors to reach this team but he is not the only one to adress this issue. D. Ryans made a point of saying players need to do their jobs and be accountable in one of his on camera interviews. Makes you wonder just how much slacking is really going on if these players are making statements to the public. Guys like Ryans and Dunta I believe try and handle it within first but the frustration is starting to show in public/

I have a very hard time getting rid of a book, so I will go back and check the shelves to see if I still have Jack Tatum's book titled something similar to They Call Me Assassin. One of the things I recall is him speaking about a desire to win, and how terribly upset he was to hear upon a loss that some of the teammates were happy that their playoff run was over because going further would interfere with their holiday plans. Unfortunately, his ferocious hits led to D. Stingley's career ending injury and paralysis which is something he will always have to live with. However, I do understand how frustrating it must be to a fierce competitor to work along side with lacadacious employees who is doing enough to keep drawing a paycheck.

Not one bad look by Kubes on this either, I bet Parcells would have had the Turk doing windsprints the entire game.

Dunta and Demeco are two with attitude to win. If I were Coach I would walk through the locker room and stop at each player and say show me your attitude, If it did not fit With D-Rob then I Would say Hit the road Jack.

Laughing stock is people thinking there is only one way to address a situation like that. I seem to remember a not so novel concept that laughter is sometimes the best medicine. Wow, I even think Reader's Digest had it as a feature for decades. I see nothing wrong with Kris Brown getting Turk's mind off the mistake by greeting him with "dude, you looked like a monkey attempting to fornicate a football and failing." And Turk cracking back with "well that football said it was saving itself for you." You have no way to know what was said or felt by either of those guys and save the not one bad look by Kubes comments--like the TV was trained on him the whole time, or they were standing next to him or you know what was said in the lockerroom.
