I say if Schaub is not well, keep him on the bench until we can find a center to replace Flannigan. I would hate to see what happened to Carr happen to Schaub. Many more games like the last two and he is going to be shell shocked too.
Who is our back up center and is he any good? ANyone know? Of all the years for McKinney to get hurt. |

Looked good in TC and I doubt he will disappoint. He is an upgrade over the Flanagasaurus anyways.

McNabb wasn't healthy, he was sacked a dozen times but played the whole game against the Giants.
The best for the team is to learn how well your QB can perform under duress. The line has been doing a better job at protecting the QB than ever. If MS can't learn to read the hot number now, he never will. Green is better than Lundy/Gado. McKinney was never better than Flanagan at protection. Last yr. McKinney allowed 0.5 sack in 5 starts (3 at guard), Flanagan 0.75 in 9 starts. Again, this yr, the pressure is coming from the outside mostly. There's no concrete evidence that either is better at run blocking either. When we run up the middle, the ypc ave. is about the same (including last year.) Believe it or not, last year we ranked #7 in running efficiency up the middle. And this year, we've been averaging better than last year's number (in yardage, but not in TD). |

I guess the only way we got "Spoiled" by Carr was that he would take punishment and keep playing (if poorly). If Schaub can't take a hit, then Sage may rise. |

A hit? Geez the guy has been getting killed ever since McKinny went down. he has taken plenty of hits. not sure how many QBs could withstand a 350 DT land completely on them and driving them into the turf.

Sage has earned the job. Obviously it won't happen. As always, politics will dictate who plays for this team.

Rosenfels is a great backup, not a great starter. that's his niche.

There's a difference between taking a hit and getting injured.

There have been 48 different starting QB's in the league this year. There were 50 all of last season. Injuries happen and this year there is a streak at QB.

If AJ isn't going to play, start Rosenfels and let Schaub sit out. He doesn't have the great weapon to get the touchdowns, so you might as well not frustrate things by putting him in a bad situation (no pass-TD risk). Besides, as the joke goes, the line performs better for Rosenfels anyways.
If there is no need to rush Green, AJ, or Jacoby back to the field, there is no reason to risk compacting injuries by rushing your starting QB. |

I don't know....Schaub works well with the offense, but Sage seems to gel better with them AND can look to someone OTHER than Andre Johnson.
