I believe that Carr routinely audibles to "Now" routes as well. If Carr is at the line and notices that one of the WRs (usually Johnson) has soft coverage, he overrides the playcall (whether it is a pass call, or a run call) and takes the now route (the hitch passes at the line of scrimmage). Against the Packers, Al Harris was usually in a press coverage and we didn't see "Now" routes, but in many games we see a lot of them, sometimes audibled to twice in a row. |

you gotta be unpredictable in today's NFL. The Chargers run new plays every week. Last week we only ran 3 plays out of the same set. Results are we are one of the highest scoring teams in the nfl. In 2002 the faiders made new plays every week. Result was they were the highest scoring team in the league. They didn't have superior players in an aging rice and brown just an accurate QB that knew football. The Chargers can say the same this year. Running your base offense week in and week out is not going to be enough to win consistently in toay's nfl
