As reported in the chronicle , Wade wi likely be out for the Titanics , Capers said he would likely be listed as "Doubtful"

This isn't good news. At least the Titans are having trouble on the edge. I assume we are looking at Spears as the starter if Wade can't go.....I assume, but not sure.

Would we move Weigert to tackle and put Washington in at guard?

I think the tandem of McKinney-Washington is not a good one. Every time they are side by side we get hammered. I don't mind when Washington goes in for McKinney, but he doesn't impress me too much at Guard. I'm not saying it won't happen, because I'm not sure how good Spears is at this stage in his carreer, but Hainsworth and Carter would have a field day if we weaken our interior line. That is the strength of their line. The inside.

It really depends on what Titans team shows up against the Texans. The one that hammered the Packers, or the one we've seen before Monday night. Their defense had been one of the worst against the run, but they fixed that last night or at least it appears that way. When you see how easily the Titans rolled over the Green Bay defense then you begin to understand why the Packers offense was forced to pass so much. That in turn led to fewer runs, and could account for the relative success of the Titans defense. They have a young DLine, and young Linebackers. The strength of their DLine is Haynesworth and Carter as Vinny mentioned, and the young guys on the edges are their weakness. If the Texans OLine can disrupt their DLine and cause them to make mistakes then it could add up to a big game for DD and the Texans' running game. I feel our DBs will do a better job of keeping the Titans recievers in check, but the Titans have looked good running the ball with Chris Brown. The lone exception to that is Brown's struggles with converting 3rd and short situations. If Wade isn't there then it will make it even tougher for the OLine in a road game at a division rival.

Titans defense has been junk all season. Aren't they last in rush defense now? or at least they were prior to last night's game. Green Bay went away from the run because Ahman Green coughed up the rock and they had to play catch up the entire game. Green Bay tried to win in a shootout but fell flat on their faces.

spears is a solid tackle...he's start for wade we won't really miss a beat...he isn't as good as a run blocker but i think he's pass protection is just as good...end of story

From the Houston Chronicle artlice ....
Veteran Marcus Spears finished the Minnesota game at right tackle for the Texans and is the likely starter at right tackle if Wade can't play. Hope that answers any lingering questions about who will start , what to look for and that there should be no juggling of the O-Line |

Spears is a veteran. I am sure he has prepared for this contigency in some manner.
