whats the deal with not playing armstrong over bradford. yeah hes got more speed but when he gets bombs thrown his way he usually doesnt catch it. seems like armstrong is more clutch and makes more plays. bradford had that td last but he was wide open.

Armstrong shouldnt replace our 2nd receiver. Maybe Gaffney but not Bradford.

i agree Armstrong might be better if we are not going to air it out, then Bradford's speed is nullified.

Armstrong is much better suited as a 2nd receiver than the 3rd (slot receiver). Gaffney is very solid in that role and I would imagine Armstrong will take over opposite Johnson next season with Bradford going somewhere else. Nothing against Corey, but I think Armstrong can do similar things and comes at a cheaper cost.

DArmstrong is definitley more "clutch" than CBradford IMHO but I dunno if he replaces him THIS season. I got a feeling CB is a goner after this year & then he could take that spot. :woot

I have been watching Armstrong pretty close in preseason and the 1st 3 games...I am pretty impressed. I think he has a great shot at pushing for the #2 receiver job maybe even late this season. The only thing I wonder is how much of a drop off in speed are we looking at between him and Bradford?
I tend to agree with most of the board that Gaff is a natural slot reciever, he can make the tough catch over the middle and we have also seen him isolate the edges of the endzone for the TDs. Since we run 3 WRs about 70% of the time what you really end up with is a #1 guy and a #2 and #2A guy on the field. In our vertical passing game it really helps if more than one of the recievers is a downfield threat...that is the only reason I wonder about the speed differential of Armstrong and Bradford.

Really after this year I dont see Bradford in Houston. He wants majority of the passes and people like Gaffney, Armstrong are looking very good. I like him and all but he just seems to be slowly vanishing with Gaffney and AJ getting the ball now.
