You can see on the replay that Carr did step on the lineman's foot, and the most notable sign of that was the lame duck he threw. I'm sure you saw the zip he puts on all of his passes, and the pass that was picked off was nothing like the rest. As far as the tipped interception that is just good awareness on the part of the Chargers defense, and bad awareness on the part of the Texans offense. The ball went sky high, and only one Texans player was around it as opposed to several Chargers players. Rookie CBs get lit up in the NFL, and it's a trial by fire. Much like a rookie QB. However, to suggest that he'll be lit up all year is a bit of an overstatement. Marcus Trufant, Terrance Newman, and Charles Tillman all had times last season when they were beaten badly or lit up by an opposing offense. They were picked on, but they weren't lit up all year. Trufant was arguably the best CB on the Seahawks last season, and Newman was without a doubt the best CB on the Cowboys last season. Tillman was very good, but I wouldn't say he was the best CB on the Bears but definately a solid #2. Rookie CBs learn on the run, and if anything getting burned will only inspire Dunta to be even better. You learn more from your mistakes than from your successes, and Dunta will undoubtedly learn from his mistakes Sunday. He and Babin both played well in their first NFL game, and I think they'll both make great strides as the season pushes on. Dunta will face yet another test this coming Sunday against the likes of Roy Williams, Hakim, and Tai Streets. Each week he'll be better than the last, and by mid season I'd expect him to be playing extremely well.
