Add I'd love for one team to draft Lamin Barrow and Yawin Smallwood just to hear their announcer saying Lamin, no Yawin, nope it's Lamin... or Smallwood laid the wood...

Default Re: Bang the table

Dri Archer, WR/RB, Kent State
Height: 5-8. Weight: 173.
40 Time: 4.26.
Projected Round (2014): 3-4.

Link

5/6/14: Archer blazed the fastest 40 time of any prospect at the Combine. He also did well in the field drills and the bench press with a shocking total of 20 reps of 225 pounds. The Combine really helped him. A lot of teams brought Archer in for pre-draft visits.

Archer is a small speed receiver. He dealt with an ankle injury in the early going of 2013 and missed a few games. The junior returned to field in impressive fashion against Western Michigan with six carries for 73 yards and four receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown.

Archer recorded 68 carries for 527 yards and six touchdowns this year. As a receiver, he hauled in 25 passes for 327 yards and four scores. Archer ran for 1,429 yards on only 159 carries for an average of nine yards per carry in 2012. The sophomore also caught 39 passes for 561 yards. He totaled 20 touchdowns (16 rushing, four receiving). Archer contributed 246 yards rushing (4.2 average) and 16 receptions for 75 yards (four total touchdowns) in 2011.

Archer's best fit in the NFL would probably be as a slot receiver.

1. ILB- Chris Borland, Wisc. - Loved watching this dude play. Disappointing 40 time, but his play on the field is much faster, imo

2. G/C - David Yankey, Stanford - Nice feet and power

3. DT/NT - DaQuan Jones, Penn St. - Imo, he can do it all. A little pass rush and good against the run

4. CB - Phillip Gaines, Rice - Fast, good size and covers well. Needs to be a bit more physical in the run game

Greg Robinson: The true once in a generation talent in this draft. Best run blocker to come out of college in years with the athleticism and upside to be a premier pass blocker as well.

Time for the Texans to be the bully. Time to get our enforcer. Greg Robinson #1 2014!!!

Michael Schofield looks pretty good when I watched Michigan.

Granted, he played RT while Levan played LT; Schofield handled his position better than Levan handled his.

I think I like Schofield better than Quiz.
Hope the Texans draft him at the top of the fifth; however, I read that his stock has risen quite a bit.
He won't last that long if the report of his workout was really on point.

LARRY WEBSTER | Bloomsburg (PA) 6056|252 lbs|6SR Hagerstown, MD (Elkton HS) 6/18/1991 (age 22) #99
2013: (12/12) 49/16.0/12.5/1 (DE) PROJECTION 5th-6th Round
2012: (12/0) 39/15.0/13.5/1 (DE) MEASUREABLES Arm: 33 1/2 | Hand: 10 1/8 | Wingspan: 81 1/2
2011: Basketball COMBINE 40-YD: 4.61 | 10-YD: 1.58 | BP: 17 | VJ: 36 1/2 | BJ: 10’03” | SS: 4.44 | 3C: 7.29
2010: Basketball
2009: Basketball
2008: Basketball
STRENGTHS: Looks the part with a tall, long frame and the growth potential to get stronger…quick first step with natural burst, flexible ankles and COD skills to bend the edge and flatten…uses his long arms to make wrap tackles and finish…has the athleticism and range to cover a large area, making plays in pursuit with speed and a reliable motor…quick learner and easily adapted to the game after being away for four years…strong work ethic and puts in the time to prepare and improve…NFL bloodlines – father, Larry, played 11 seasons in the NFL and won a Super Bowl ring with the Baltimore Ravens…very productive in his two seasons at DE with 26.0 sacks and 31.0 tackles for loss over his career, including two catches and two touchdowns on offense.
WEAKNESSES: Needs to commit himself to the weight room and add bulk to his body – lean-muscled and will likely never have a physically imposing build…needs to develop his football strength to hold up in the trenches, on offense or defense…hip movements are a tad stiff and needs to do a better job breaking down in space…needs to continue and develop his pass rush moves and learn how to better use his hands to protect his body and shed blocks…tends to play too tall at times and needs to improve his leverage off the snap…has only two full seasons of football experience under his belt since high school and lacks ideal experience, doing his damage at the Division-II level – spent most of his time on defense and is still untested on offense.
SUMMARY: Webster played both football and basketball in high school, but also participated in AAU and received more attention on the basketball court, swaying him to play hoops in college. As a four-year starting center at Bloomsburg, he finished as the school’s all-time leader in blocks (175) and was the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Defensive POY in 2011. Webster talked to the football coaches about joining the team with his remaining eligibility and was initially used as a part-time pass rush specialist, but his role grew, starting all 12 games in 2013 and producing impressive numbers in his two seasons on the football field. He will require patience and needs to develop his football strength and technique and adjust to the higher level of competition. Although he lined up as a pass rusher in college, Webster has the frame, length and athletic skill-set that ideally fits the mold of a NFL TE – worth a third day draft choice to stash and groom.
