I just wish Bridgewater would have run the 40 so we could get a quick look see at him. You know with all of this talk about how frail, small-boned, whatever I'd just like to see the guys physique, his muscularity, etc.
But I don't blame a QB for not wanting to throw at the Combine because it makes sense that he'd risk his best performance if unfamiliar and perhaps uncomfortable with receivers he'd be throwing too.

I didn't expect JM to be 4th overall, that's for sure.

I figured he would be 2nd behind Thomas right around 4.6 with Thomas running a mid-4.5. Shaw not a shock because he's underrated athletically, but still didn't expect him to out-run JFF.

Bridgewater not running or throwing? No real surprise or big deal, pretty sure he's mote focused on interviews. He's got an NFL arm and scrambling isn't his game, scouts know that, GMs know it.; his game is predicated on whats in,between the ears.

Manziel running a slower than expected 40? Semi surprising, but isn't going to kill his stock draftwise really but does add layer of concern to his size considering mobility is a large part of his game. Doesn't have a rocket arm, but its NFL caliber when he sets his feet.

Bortles had most to gain of three, not sure he knocked it out of park, but didn't do much to hurt himself either i think. Physical build you want in a QB, supposedly has good intangibles, but arm is a concern.

IMO who stood out from little bits i got: Greg Robinson. A guy who moves that quick at that size?! Killer. Place him on right side bookend tackles for next 4 years. Watkins, jeeze can you imagine the fits defenses would be in dealing with AJ, Hopkins, AND Watkins?! Though problem remains who distributes ball? Both could be top 10 locks now.

Mike Evans with a really good day.

I think that guy is going to be a monster.

If he can stop with the offensive PI. Or hide it better.

Yea, Evans having a nice day.

Official numbers for 6' 4.75" 231 lbs Evans:

40 time: 4.53

Vertical Jump: 37"

Only 12 reps on the bench but I don't think that is a big deal.

Lache Seastrunk (5'9" 201 lbs) having the most explosive day (hasn't run his 40 yet).

Vertical Jump: 41.5"

Broad Jump: 11'2"

Both tops for all groups thus far.

Broad Jump: 11'

Only 13 reps on bench, again not big deal.

Beckham at 2.1 and Moncrief at 3.1 (neither is likely to make it that far) are probably my favorite WRs for us in this draft. If they make it to those spots I take them, regardless of other needs.

Best QB in 2nd group was Tom Savage. Has a gun for arm. #NFLCombine
Quote:
  • In conversations here in Indy its apparent the quarterbacks stack up 1) Bortles, 2) Bridgewater, 3) Carr, 4) Manziel on a number of team boards.
  • Last night at dinner with a few scouts I learned that an FBI profiler was brought in to review the interview tapes of Aaron Hernandez from the 2010 combine. The profiler pointed out a number of signs during the interview which would’ve raised red flags had he seen it in 2010; body language, the way Hernandez answered questions, his body language answering questions. Bottom line is more teams will bring in profilers to review these interview tapes.

I like beckham. Should be quite a few really good prospects for us to pick up in the second and third rounds.

He was flying in that 40 yard dash. I wouldn't be surprised if it was even faster than it is being reported. He's explosive.

BOTTOM LINE Jack of all trades, master of none.
That was the same exact wording given to Arian Foster when he was at the Combine. I knew nothing about this guy, or Dri Archer RB Kent State.
