I remember it well also. I was 19 when they moved it to 21 in Texas. They had grandfathered the prior move from 18 to 19 but didn't grandfather the move from 19 to 21.

I guess we're all peas in a pod. did a military stint in Colorado & 18 was legal age for 3.0 beer but was already 21. it really does explain a lot, now I feel parched

In my province of origin in Canada, it's 19. But since I lived in the Gloucester neighborhood of Ottawa, the legal drinking age of 18 was only 30 minutes driving away in Quebec across the river.

It's 18 in Quebec, Manitoba, and Alberta, and 19 everywhere else iirc

When I visited Rice on a recruiting trip one of their selling points was they didn't enforce 19 on campus, just 18.

One of Rice's big selling points to me was Night of Decadence... I have a friend who keeps trying to get me to go, but unfortunately it almost always falls on a damn weekday.

For a nerdy school, they sure can party.

I like that he has a good head on his shoulders and shows a lot of maturity. I think people just placed Andrew Luck like the next son of god and now people want someone like that so they wont have any questions as to who the "cant miss" qb is in the draft class. Even though wonder boy threw those INTs in the playoffs and HE cost them the game but oh well thats another thread. God these next three days cant get here any faster.

I'm feeling more confident than ever that Teddy will be the pick. He's straight business. If you think Manziel is a better pick.. Well, good for you supporting a Texas kid. Manziel may have more "wow" plays, but that's college. Bortles at #1? Not going to happen. Is Clowney really going to turn this team around? I severely doubt it.

Unless TB isn't the guy to turn the franchise around.

I think TB will help the team improve to become a 10-6 playoff team. Not a true SB contender. That's probably good enough for boardroom BoBBy

That's the same thing I think when people talk about Bridgewater running a "pro" offense & reading defenses. He's reading the likes of UCF & Cincinnati... Temple. pfft.... He's going to see more looks in the first qtr of an NFL game than he's seen in 3 years of AAC football.

there is a fine line between 10-6 and a possible Super Bowl

Don't see teddy interviewing well.
Reporter- Teddy, what do you need to improve on?
Teddy - gets and dumbfounded look on face, then answers with a confused tone, "uh-nothing".

Yeh just not seeing it. Manziel on the other hand, well he's going to blow everyone away. He's got personality, confidence and swagger that sets him apart from any other top prospect in this draft.

Where on Earth do you get this idea? By all accounts Bridgewater is an intelligent, upstanding young man.

Overall, give the guy who finished his degree in 3.5 years over the guy known for hanging out with rappers. That said, I have seen speculation that Brdigewater is more a laidback type versus Manziel's well known bravo.

Seriously? You think because of how he answered a question for a fluff piece from a local news network, that he will give the same answer to GMs and HCs during interviews? Come one now, be logical.

Regarding your first post, I get what you are saying, but you are interpreting it all wrong. Sure Teddy does not have a TV personality like Mazniel, and maybe lacks the some spark and charisma when doing television interviews, but what matters is the content of his words, now how he presents them.

Seems like there is a guy on our team now that is low key, short answered, and mellow, and he is is one of the best to ever play his position.

Manziel and Bridgewater are their own persons, neither personality is better.
