How about Bruce Matthews for OL? Is he still under a contract with Titans?

Munchak may be a very good OL coach, I don't know, but I believe the hiring of him as the Titans HC by the late Bud Adams was somewhat of a fluke and don't expect to see him as a HC again in the few years.

I'd prefer Ferentz over Munchak personally as our Oline coach.

I think he might make an ok asst. line coach, but I don't think he is married to Munchak. He get's another offer no telling where he will go

The thing is, I'd think the plan -- at this point, anyway -- would be to groom Vrabel for DC.
If there's a plan (if I were Crennel) I'd be wanting to "groom" Vrabel & Johnson for HC..... I doubt they have any loyalty for the Texans & though preparing Vrabel/Johnson for HC position may benefit the Texans in the near term, the ultimate goal is to make Vrabel & Johnson HCs.... if they have the aptitude for it.

The track for most (not all) head coaches to be is to become a coordinator 1st. Crennel should have reached an age and have the experience to know that "training" young talented coaches means they are being trained to take his job or to move to another organization as a coordinator.

Understood. No doubt there will be steps along the way & he'll have most likely be a DC before being considered for a HC position. But the ultimate goal is HC

Texans hire Doug Coleman to be the asst STs coach. Looks like O'Brien's giving Lig a chance this season with this dude possibly looking over his shoulder.

According to ShoreNewsToday.com, former Coastal Carolina linebackers/special teams coach Doug Colman will be the Texans’ assistant special teams coach.
