Nobody is arguing the fact that it's evil to cheer when someone has been hurt my thing is that it's really weak for a team like the texans to use this subject to cover up their own problems they are having on the football field. The fans have been there for 12 years and 10 of those years were not playoff years.

I think they're hiding the extent of the injury on purpose

This team still has a chance at 2-4 to turn it around and the fans will still be there in full hopefully the players show up too.

The inversion/dorsiflexion injury can result in extending Lisfranc foot and ankle ligament injuries. And I still do not rule out the peroneal tendon subluxation, as some will treat them misguidely with an ankle brace or walking boot. This conservative management approach in athletes (i.e.: ankle brace, cast or walking boot) is associated with a low success rate and will commonly require operative repair.

Funny how Schaub is dressed for winter. I would be surprised if Schaub was not wearing at least a heavy fixed ankle brace under those sweats. Playing on Sunday?........put a fork in it.

Would expect anywhere from 4-8 weeks, but would not rule out season ending if not treated with proper rest and rehab.

This is what really sucks. Nobody or not nearly as many people would be happy about Schaubs injury keeping him out if only our inept HC had justifiably pulled him for simply sucking beforehand.

We're ALL frustrated and at the end of the day some heads will roll. Whose head is up for debate. While I'm NOT a fan of Schaub I'm wishing the muff-hugga a speedy recovery.

Depending on the exact injuries, solid modified ankle braces like these (some with solid foot sole extensions for foot stability), in addition to taping over the arch of the foot as necessary, can be worn with athletic shoes.
