Honestly, I think David Carr could have been really good. I also think getting sacked that many times while QBing for an expansion team can be detrimental for a QB.

Also, the Schaub comparison to Hasselbeck wasn't a knock. We loves us some Matt Hasselbeck up here. Hasselbeck was the epitome of "goodness" and in his prime had some really great moments. But he did not have that "it" that makes great quarterbacks.

Guy had something like a 3.8 second snap to release time. He had the field awareness of Lacy Peterson.

I liked Hasselbeck, especially when he played with the Seahawks. He was a gamer. Good enough to get his team to the Super Bowl. The Tennessee Titans Hasselbeck wasn't. He was better than any QB they've had since McNair, but that's not saying a lot.

In his prime, in Seattle, I would have taken that Hasselbeck over the Schaub we've got today. Stat wise, I'm sure Matt blows him out of the water, but Hasselbeck didn't have Andre Johnson & Gary Kubiak.

Russell Wilson was second all time for rookie passer rating at 100.00 (RGIII was like 100.04 or something)

Russell Wilson owns the rookie record for consecutive passes completed at 17

Wilson is currently the 3rd highest rated passer in the NFL at 109.6

He's got wheels, and he can run. But he's a passer first.

Matt Schaub is Matt Hasselbeck2.0
Plus Russell is making about 500k this season.

I'm pretty glad a get to catch all the Seahawks games, as they're the local team here. The amount of talent that team has is sickening.

I'm glad that the Texans are going into this one pissed off as heck - because if we put a performance in like against the Ravens, it would be uggggly.

Side question - as Texas has seen a heck of a lot of homerism regarding Vince Young - what is the reception for Jake Locker going to be in Seattle when you guys play the tacks this year? Must be a few Husky alumnus looking to go for that one.

I doubt it's a big deal. If we had a competent QB in Houston, the VY thing wouldn't have been so bad. You didn't here Cowboy fans clamoring for Vince (even though they're more Longhorn fans than Houston is).

We chose to stick with a QB that had not done crap..... we gave him an extra $8M to stay... he had not won the heart of the fans. We passed on Vince & a year later we trade two seconds for A back-up.

I am very much looking forward to the game on Sunday, and I have to say, regardless of what happened in Baltimore, this is a game that has me a bit worried.

Our All-Pro left tackle is on injured reserve with a return designation, and our guard play has been shaky at best. That didn't prove too detrimental against the Jags, but the Texans aren't the Jags. I expect to see TE Zach Miller helping quite a bit with JJ Watt, so you shouldn't see him releasing into the secondary very often.

I also would guess that the 'Hawks are going to try and run the ball a lot. You won't see a whole lot of 5 to 7 step drops from our QB on Sunday. I'm guessing you'll see more 3 step drops, play action, and roll outs. If not, Wilson is going to get hit.

On the other side, I have a pretty good feeling about our defense that is getting healthier going against your banged up offense. And Schaub is a statue, so that works in our favor.

But all in all, I expect a close game with the result hinging on turnovers and a few big plays where they can be had. Cheers to a good and injury free game on Sunday!

Slightly off-topic, but go Sounders.

I have a strange feeling it's going to be a repeat of the Seahawks-49'rs game. The home team wins in a rout. The Seahawks will see what a truly LOUD stadium sounds like.

The Seahawks aren't clicking like that on offense yet. Plus, the Texans just took a bad loss and I'm sure it will wake them up some. I think it will be a close game with the Seahawks winning by no more then a touchdown unless our offensive line completely fails Schaub.

Well I'm not rooting against them.

That is just how I would see it if I was going to Vegas and betting my hard earned money on the outcome. Put it that way.

It's gonna be one of the following:

Texans curb stomp the hawks and expose them for not being there yet and exorcise the demons from the first 3 wks........

Or

Texans get destroyed and further embarrassed.

I know its tough to remember, but the Packers weren't exactly setting the world on fire before they came to Reliant last year either. They hadn't scored over 30 points before they played the Texans even against an all-time bad defense of New Orleans.

I hope we win, but I'm feeling a little bit like the the Little Giants right now about to play the Cowboys. But there is always that one time! (Movie reference)

P.S. I'm just joking Tex..... calm down buddy I haven't jumped ship even though I am worried.

Some SeaHawks fans wanted us to draft Jake Locker; I am not one of them. Locker is a slightly upgraded version of Tebow, intangibles and all, only minus Jesus and probably the whole "being a virgin" thing.
