Why is that disturbing? If you're making a lot of tackles, it means the offenses you're facing are making a lot of plays. Fewer tackles can mean a lot of things including that you have fewer opportunities because you're getting the other team off the field and your own offense is holding onto the ball.

Everyone's talking about the number of offensive plays, well we're tied with New England at this point for the 2nd highest number of offensive plays per game. Because of that stat, our defense has faced the 5th fewest defensive plays behind the Seahawks, Saints, Raiders (?), and Bengals.

That's a good stat.

Hey, D... what's up with Arthur Brown? A few of us felt sure we would have selected him one pick after you took him. Why wasn't he starting before the injury?

My opinion is that they did not want to start a rookie LB right off the bat unless absolutely needed, and in Brown's case, it wasn't after they signed Daryl Smith, leaving Bynes at Lt InLB and Smith at Rt In/LB. Brown has a pectoral strain after the Cleveland game, so he is listed as questionable at this time.

I think he will eventually start during this season barring additional injury.

And John Clayton was right, Ray Rice is out vs. Texans.

Bernard Pierce will replace Rice, and should not be overlooked. Typically has good games.

Speaking of which, you still think Flacco is elite?

Looks like he turned back into a pumpkin like I said he would..... Cam Cameron/Jim Caldwell.. it don't matter. Ed will be Ed, Joe's gone be Joe.

Great play offs, I won't deny. Best ever... arguably. But that's Joe, that's been Joe & he's pretty darn average in the regular season.

He looks average because he has the Matt Schaub problem from 2-3 years ago. Jacoby is his #2 WR

It helps if you have WR's and TE's that can catch. Look at the film of the first two games and see how many balls were dropped by Clark, Dickson (whatta bum he's turning out to be) and others.

Look, Flacco ain't no Peyton, who can make an average WR look like an All-Pro, but if he has good hands at WR and TE, he's better than most NFL QB's. His record speaks for itself.

What is elite? Manning and Brady are 1a and 1b or interchangeable.

Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees throw it all over the place for 300+ yds a week, but they have the same # of SB's as Joe.

Schaub, Luck, Stafford, etc are awesome Fantasy Football QB's but have yet to find post-season success.

Joe tied Montana's record for 11 TDs and 0 INTS in the playoffs- different year, different WR. Team is finding its identity still.

Regular season is one thing- playoffs another. compare Schaub and Joe in reg season- Schaub wins. Compare post season- Joe wins

and that's where its most important...

I'm predicting the Texans will lose 3 out of the next 5 games and Kubiak will make Bullock team captain to boost his confidence.
