At any rate, one poor play does not describe a player, especially when he made several nice plays throughout the game.
You can't be sure of what the d call is in any instance.

And even if you do think you know what the call is, there is a thing called game planning where coaches will deviate from the norm or what's commonly seen and give particular instructions based on the opponent/situation.
