Is Max Ungar or Muhammed Wilkerson (blue chips) better than Arian Foster? Are they as good as JJ Watt? Shows how ridiculous it is to rank players in this manner. But, it bides the time and is something to write/read about.

They're rated against their position.

Nothing I can really dispute on this one except maybe Sharpton being a bit low....when healthy. But if they are taking health into account then yeah, they are probably right since we seem to rarely get the guy on the field. Otherwise he is servicable at the least. Other than that all seems good to me. There's room for changes from the younger guys like Brooks and even with Foster since he admitted he didn't like his previous season so stepped up his offseason workouts.

Citing the backs they put at blue chip like Peterson and Charles I can understand. Nothing I can say to dispute guys who are averaging over 5 yards a pop with crappy passing games, heh.

Which makes the whole ranking a big 'so what'. Is an 'elite center as important as an average QB? Is Wilkerson's elite ranking mean he's as good as Watt? It's worthless.

Watt, Cushing, Joseph, Andre, Brown, and Foster are all "blue chips" to me, don't know what the hell they're thinking.

To me, you don't have to make that correlation. Blue Chip is simply saying best at their position.

Joseph was a rising star in Cincinnati, much like KJ now. He had a great year in 2011 for us. Last year he battled injuries. I think he might be a blue chip, but hasn't proven it yet.

I think Foster is a blue chip hands down, same as Cushing.

Joseph is a Top 5 CB in the league when healthy. Guy single-handedly changed our secondary. And our secondary was a complete disaster with him hobbled last year and with Shiloh Keo and Brandon Harris getting regular play.

He's a blue chip. He's proven it.

Foster - Considered elite by pretty much everyone...except these guys.

Mercilus - Need an 'incomplete' option. You'll never know how good he is/isn't until he's an everyday 3-down defender.

Cushing - Elite, but I'll give them benefit of the doubt coming off injury.

Schaub - I'd go so far as to say he's high-quality, but not elite.

Reed- Average, not really below, unless (like Cushing) they're counting injury in the equation.

I'm also not sure I'd rate either our RT or RG as anything more than Below Average.
