schaub = avg
B.Reed = Avg
Mitchell = Below Avg, hopefully he improves this yr.
Brooks = has greatest chance for improvement
Cushing/Sharpton = Incomplete, Coming back from injury nobody knows how they will perform.

Greatest chance to provide help of players not listed Quessenberry/Swearinger.

The Texans team as a whole better hope Schab and Mitchell stay healthy. The Texans have put all their eggs in the Mitchell basket and there's not much behind him. plus I just dont think he's that good based off of the last few yrs performances. Hopefully he will get better.

Not sure I agree with Sharpton being Poor. Unless they are counting injury histories with actual playing abilities.

How dumb. PFF are the same guys that said Chris Myers is one of the best Centers in the game (I swear I read that directly from them). Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but I swear it was PFF.

And obviously Foster is elite.

Doesnt necessarily mean they think Myers is a blue chip. Not many of those to go around, and had Myers behind Unger, Mangold, and Sullivan in 12 rankings, who got the blue chip ratings for centers.

Chris Myers is the best at what he does. The problem is he is not meant to be able to pass-block a large NT by himself....and he can't.

Makes sense. I hear what you're saying. 1 thing though is I'm pretty sure they have Myers ahead of Mangold, which is surprising to me they would give him blue chip and not Myers.

Gotta disagree. Where did you come up with this in fact? I can't find anything that really backs that claim, this is the closest I can find, but in the end it still praises him:

"The first thing you notice about Chris Myers (6'4", 290 pounds, eight seasons) is his agility. As one of the best moving centers in the entire NFL, Myers is excellent at sliding inside the line to pick up blitzes and help guards in pass protection. When put into a one-on-one situation, he can lose anchor and get walked back, but he is smart enough to go to the ground and cut the defender if that happens. Myers does a great job coming out to meet pass-rushers, and with his quick feet and strong hands, he’s able to mirror and protect the pocket.

Myers isn’t the biggest guy at 290 pounds, but he makes up for that with excellent quickness and vision."

In the positional rankings from 2012, they actually had Mangold a spot ahead. Not saying these guys have it all figured out though.

I do feel, and I think this chart is fairly representitive of this, that we will need to focus next offseason on improving/upgrading/depth at DE, NT, ILB, and depending on our our recent OL picks start to sort out... RT, and interior O-Line for future stability.

I can't believe they don't see Cushing as a Blue Chip player.

Cushing is borderline blue chip at best. He had one year (you know the one he was busted) that was average at best. He had one outstanding. Last year started terrific but he only played roughly 1/4 of the season.

Considering his body of work, I think they have him correct.

Same with Foster. 2010? Yes, elite. Since then, his production has declined each year. Again, based on his total body of work, he's close to elite, but I think he's just outside of that in the upper part of the next tier.

Schaub is over-rated and should be average. Health issues, lack of consistency, and failures when the heat is on leave him average.

Sharpton I would move up one rung. Health has been a major concern, but he's an average player when healthy.

Brandon Brooks is too green to really rate, but I have a feeling that is too low.

Outside of that, I can't quibble too much.

Foster ranked 1st in rushing in 2010, 2nd in 2011, and 6th in 2012; was 1st in in total RB yards in 2010, 5th in 2011, and 6th in 2012; and was 1st in rushing TD in 2010, 8th in 2011, and 1st in 2012.

And, he's 1st over those three years combined in those categories by a long shot, by my count.

I respect what PFF does a ton, but it seems silly to say he's not elite. Cushing, too. In fact, Cushing more so.

Bigger concern is our starting OLBs are below average. We're going to need to see marked growth from Mercilus and/or cobble together a rotation that is greater than its individual parts.

Brandon Brooks needs to step it up.

And I'm not too keen on being weak up the middle with Mitchell/Sharpton.

Those two HQ corners sure look good, though. Just need to avoid injury bug.

Not sure if I buy into Kareem being high quality or Mercilus being below average. I used to really like Reed, but I'm starting to see the below average thing myself, hope this year changes things for me.

Considering Mercilus had about 500 less snaps than Barwin last year and still put up 6 sacks as a rookie I really like his potential. And yes, I know it's not just about sacks, but in our system it's a big part.

Also, why did they grade Ryan Harris as opposed to Newton?

They've got Carson Palmer listed as High Quality but Schaub is only above average.
