I didn't take it as Joe trying to point the finger or whine.

I thought he was saying there's more anonymity on special teams. We're talking about specific players on offense or defense. Connor Barwin & Brooks Reed did not deliver, Derek Newton played on a bum knee, but he's still a bum. We've got a movement here pushing for Case to Start by opening day.

We have not developed one WR not named AndreJohnson, but no one is talking about replacing Larry Kirksy. Other than the success of Arian Foster, our RB corps has been mediocre at best, but Chick Harris is happily enjoying his job. The right side of the OL had issues... but John Benton's job isn't in jeopardy. Matt Schaub can't carry the football team, but our QB coach is content with his job.

But guys that we don't know the names of (& the people on this forum know our players) miss a block....... Fire Marciano!!!

Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Even though he probably has less input into player selection.

What a joke. Fumbling is one thing, but when your ST unit is ranked LAST, you're going to get blamed.

If the offense or defense was ranked last, you bet damn well the coach is going to get blamed for it. Coach Joe just needs to man up and admit his ST unit was complete **** last season. It wasn't just a fumble or a muffed punt as he put it, it was just pathetic watching our ST play, from the obligatory block in the back to the sad attempt of trying to return the ball to the 20 yard line.

Fire this joker. He's putting up excuses instead of figuring out ways on how he's going to fix special teams.

Only thing I can think is that he had some good excuse because for several years now the level of talent we've had at our disposal has been unquestionable, all the gear and no idea.
Wouldnt say that, when Manning was in there he got some yards.

Been watching game rewind lately and Manning did do pretty well returning kicks in the playoffs. I don't think that proved the blocking was even decent, though. I think Manning is just that good at it. Guy almost looked like Hester out there, except for not having quite as much top speed of course.

Exactly, sure JJ did good this year for the ravens, well he did good his first year with us too. Dont mean our ST were the problem, Martin has never proven to be an NFL returner, and the other scrub that went to denver did ok, but he also looked BA in pre season and then he lost himself the job.

Yet everytime Manning was returning kicks our ST unit didnt look to bad, just saying guys.

We just need the long snapper to get it to the holder/punter. Not to hit toro on the run in the second level 6 sections up haha.

But yeah that is amazing
