Does anyone know about his injury and when will he be back? He was in a lot of pain from what i saw. I hope its nothin serious and that he's back up and running very quickly because he can very well earn a roster spot and we just might need him b/c davis and hollings yet have to prove that the are durable and very agile and could withstand the season-long pounding. Jonathan Wells also left during the game but his injury seems minor and very probably will return next week.

As the saying goes, "you can't make the club from the tub."
Injuries aside, I was not impressed with Anderson against the Cowboys. |

Think it was the tibia. I thought he showed promise after he got the first few carries out of the way. He was a good story, that's really too bad he broke his leg.

capers said they would look at bringing in some guys...but who?
poor guy, from what i heard he was having a good camp and gets stuck behind a so-so line and then breaks his leg. he didnt even get a crack (no pun intended) at the return job.

I knew it had to be worse than an ankle sprain, watching him writhing in pain on the ground and barely being able to make it off the field with 2 guys helping him...

After reading all the good things about him this a big disappointment to here about this. I wish him a speedy recovery and hope to see him in camp next year. Who knows. Maybe we trade Hollings during the season.

Anderson may have had third string blockers, but he was also going against a third string defense. Some guys look impressive in practice but don't do so well when the other team is actually trying to tackle. Tony Hollings may have had the first string blockers in front of him, but he made his yards against Ngyuen, Williams, Glover, etc. |

Ever think that our 3rd string offense line is not as good as the the Cowboys 3rd string run defense? Until you get a guy running with the 1st unit then all other assessments can only pertain to that group. From what I was looking at, Anderson seemed to be hitting the hole with what was given him.

Anderson was good and I'm sorry to see him go down. I was really looking forward to watching him return kicks in game conditions. In practice he showed more speed, quickness and elusiveness than Duff (and equal hands).

What we really loose with Anderson is 1 guy who can fill 2 roles. You get a guy who can provide quality depth at running back (and he was just learning the playbook) and can serve as a kick returner. His loss creates another job for someone else potentially not as qualified. If we bring in another runner will he be able to return the ball with the same level of effectivness? If not who will take over that responsibility? You carry 4 running backs on the team at that position so that your fourth guy employes both jobs.
I assure you someone will do it - but we take a hit with Anderson going down. I wish that didnt happen |
