Each team could have two rookie WR's make respective roster, still Patriots lost Welker while Texans lost Walter, I think the tables have turned. This draft more than anything reset the playing field for the Texans @ WR position, no longer a weakness but a strength
I don't know that WR was ever a strength for New England. Yes, Welker has beasted for the last couple of years, but most people would point to their QB as their area of strength.... hence it may not be as big a deal for them to lose Welker. At times, Edelman has looked very "Welker-like" in spot duty, so we'll see.

At the same time, very few people pointed to the WRs as a weakness prior to 2012. In fact, many were trying to convince the few that keeping Walter was the right move & we'd be alright with some combination of Martin, Lestar, Posey (later in the year), & Maehl.

And now, it's our signal caller that is under fire, so much to the point there are some saying it doesn't matter who we have at WR.
