Teo wouldn't be a bad pick at 27.

Historically, I don't think we've interviewed our top round selections at the Combine. I know Watt and Cush never heard from the Texans. Eh, maybe I'm wrong, but I'm not expecting much to come from these interviews

He's no DeMeco Ryans. DeMeco was a tackling machine and very instinctive. Teo is a ton of hype, wrapped in a zone defense.

several. I watch a lot of football. Teo was in zone coverage a ton...he is a decent player but he wouldn't work well in Wade's man defense. Looks great when untouched as you can tell by his highlight videos. I had this opinion months ago...it's not a new one.

As a ND fan I've seen 80-90% of his games over his career, he's a pretty good FB player. He's better than most are giving him credit for being. He (and the ND squad) sucked A$$ against Bama, and I think a lot of people are judging him based on that game. What he has that are tough to teach are terrific instincts which allow him to play faster than his 40 time. That's tough to teach. Having said all that I don't know if he's my pick at 27, I'm hopeful we can trade down but if we pick him I won't be upset, he'll improve our team as he'd instantly be the 2nd best ILB on the team

Anyone think Kansas City would be interested in our #27? I've heard they may go QB then CB in second. If so, there maybe a corner there that interests them. Their second and a 4th.

They are trading for Alex Smith if today's news holds up.

I think any of the teams needing a QB, CB or a WR 1 could potentially trade up and we'd be a prime spot to trade up to.

I do agree to an extent. My main issue is he'd be a 2 down player as Cush stays on the field on 3rd downs and that's why I don't want any ILB at 27. I agree we can get a solid ILB later in the middle rounds

I think a guy like Greene out of Rutgers fits what we do pretty well. He is basically the only inside linebacker that I have watched enough of to believe he could help us as a three down player.

I like Greene as well. He's a solid LB. I also like Alonzo in the middle rds.

We don't have to draft a 2 down ILB. If we were to draft one with good coverage skills he wouldn't be coming out on passing downs.

If KC gives a first would my scenario still be a possibility? I am just not sure Smith is worth the #1 pick, probably just their second and something else.

There's no way the Chiefs give up the 1st pick in the draft for Alex Smith. I doubt that they really want to give up #34. Smith has some value (his contract is short and not ridiculous). But he's not carrying a team to the Super Bowl. Smith wouldbe a caretaker until Reid can take his future QB in 2014.

Hopkins Beyatch

& Quin would be allowed to play safety instead of Keo or Demps.
