Hoe much you think we would have to pay him as a free agent?
The Browns certainly do not want him back. He is still young and a change of scenery could do him well. I think he is the type of guy that we are going to have to go after in free agency to try to improve our wide receiver group.

He just seems like a huge downgrade over Reggie Wayne, the type of guy we tried to go after last year. Andre Johnson tried to help recruit him to Houston but his heart was always in Indianapolis. Do we really need another Andre Davis in his prime except not as good? Unless we're talking about a legitimate pro bowler we may as well stay with what we have. 22-year-old DeVier Posey has pro bowl potential.

It's kind of sad that the Texans have never had a legitimate number two wide receiver to compliment Andre Johnson during his ten years here. He was drafted in 2003 and the best name we had across him was Eric Moulds back in 2006, who I may add, was already washed up and no longer a pro bowl player by the time he arrived in Houston. If only he was the 1300-yard, 7-10 TD beast he was when he played for Buffalo during his younger days.

That was a rather strange decision to move this thread.
Half the threads on the front page over there are rather abstractly related to the Texans. Yards per route run Need a championship vet position easiest to upgrade how does playbook change with a mobile qb If I was not clear, by we I did mean the Texans when asking about Massaquoi.

To be clear, until a player is linked to the Texans any discussion goes in the NFL forum. It is a very simple demarcation.

The Texans never had the cap space to go after Wayne. Maybe not Massaquoi specifically, but the Texans are likely to go after a cheap, no name WR in free agency.

Little subjective don't you think?
OK, the mod that moved it, can you change the title of the thread to Texans need a second wide receiver in free agency. Then you can put the sentence "Texans need to go after a cheap wide receiver in free agency" in the body of the post. That way it will be about Texans strategy. Then we can usher this back over to the correct forum with the other free agent discussions that are present in abundance over there.

The thread about a mobile qb changing the playbook lists Griffin, Luck, etc. Which one of those is linked to being a Texan?

You were right in your 2nd to last post...it's about presentation. You presented a free agent from another team in this post...NOT how he would impact the Texans receiving core, play on the field, or cap implications. It's just massaqui, not T.o., randy moss, etc... That's my 2 cents, but as you say it can be somewhat subjective.

Don't plan on bringing your antics which got you banned from ht.com here and having them accepted. PS - you could have put your post in the replacing Walter thread but I guess you wanted the glory of starting a thread.
