The NFL is all of a sudden a re-drafter league and the Texans have their choice of these young* guns:
Joe Flacco Robert Griffin III Colin Kaepernick Andrew Luck Russell Wilson You're the top scout, rank these QBs in the order you'd take them. *I threw Flacco in there since he's in the SB. |

1. Andrew Luck no question.
2. Robert Griffin - Assuming your coach isn't a moron and will tell him not to take so many hits. 3. Russel Wilson 4. Joe Flacco 5. Colin Kaepernick

2) RGIII - I'd actually prefer RGIII over Luck, but his reluctance to slide and protect himself has me nervous. 3) Flacco - I don't like Flacco, but I rather get him than the other options. I know what I'm getting with him. 4) Kaepernick - This guy has all the tools, but I still see a one-read or run QB. Next season will tell a lot of where this guy truly ranks. 5) Wilson - I like Wilson a lot, but I think he's too short for our offense. I admit, I've only seen him play a few games, but I question if he'll be able to do alot of 3-step drops. |

1. Colin Kaepernick
2. Andrew Luck 3. Russell Wilson 4. Joe Flaco 5. R. G. III (#5 Only because of the injury, otherwise he would be #2 and everyone else would slide down one place) |

This message board can be funny. "Is Flacco elite? No, I would take all the rookie QB's over him!" haha
1. RG3 (if he can rebound from his injury) 2. Joe Flacco 3. Colin Kaepernick 4. Andrew Luck 5. Russell Wilson |

Luck is the safest pick in my eyes. Some of these other guys could end up being one year wonders. Kapernick has the biggest ability to become sort of what Cam Newton did this year, but I don't see that happening.
1. Luck 2. RG3 3. Wilson 4. Kapernick 5. Flacco have no idea why Flacco was on this list. All of them are rookies, and Flacco is just some guy that made it into the SB this year that is the flavor of the week now. The rest of these guys looked like amazing rookies other then Kapernick who is a 2nd yr player. |

Of the five you listed, I go:
1.) Russell Wilson 2.) Andrew Luck 3.) Joe Flacco 4.) Colin Kaepernick 5.) RG III QBs I would take right now over Schaub, in no particular order: Manning, Brees, Rodgers, Brady Ryan Rapistberger Eli Flacco Romo Cutler (esp. in this offense) Stafford Rivers There are another half dozen that I consider to be so similar to Schaub in terms of effectiveness that there's no sense ranking them. Guys I think I'd rather have in another year, in no particular order: All of the above except maaaayyybe Peyton. Russell Wilson RG III Cam Newton Colin Kaepernick Andrew Luck Christian Ponder maybe Josh Freeman maybe Ryan Tannehill Sam Bradford, Andy Dalton, and Nick Foles could possibly develop into a Schaub-type player. At any rate, it's not hard to look around at half the NFL or more and be more excited about their QB than our own.

1. RG3
2a. Andrew Luck 2b. Russell Wilson 4. Colin Kaepernick 5. Joe Flacco I'm still not a Flacco believer. I'm not sold yet. Granted, I'd take him over Schaub, but I'd take a lot of QBs over Schaub at this point. I picked RG3 over Luck simply because of his mobility. He just adds another dimension to the game, which makes it tough to defend against him. If every receiver is covered, RG3 has the ability to carve a defense up with his legs. They've both got great arms, but RG3 gets the edge in my opinion. It's rare to find such a great athlete with the smarts and arm that RG3 has. He's truly a unique QB.

Knowing what i know now? Im taking wilson...dude knows when to run, but more importantly he knows when to get down, how to get down....and get out of bounds when he can. the other guys take to many hard hits when they trying to get that extra 1-2 yards. he also Doesnt turn it over too much. Dude understands how to play the position in this league already.
Strong arm, good placement, pretty quick and agile. |

1. Luck and it's not even close. He was even better than advertised this year IMO.
2. Wilson, one word: poise. I saw him play several games this year and he doesn't look or act like a rookie QB. He might not have the height of the other QBs but he's got "it". 3. Kapernick, this was a hard choice between Wilson because of Colin's upside is crazy good. I do wish he was a bit more of a polished passer, but he's got the arm strength I'd kill to have on this team. I am just not sure Gary would be able to live with a guy he couldn't control at QB. 4. RG3, no doubt the kid dazzles but when he runs he scares me because he doesn't yet get sliding and avoiding big hits. 5. Flacco, still pretty young, good arm, prototypical size you want in a QB, he just doesn't seem to have the "it" that the rest of the QBs on this list seem to have though. Doesn't strike me as a locker room leader as well. |

For me, it's
1. RGIII -- quick release, strong & accurate arm, mobility to extend plays 2. Andrew Luck -- highest upside, but needs to work on those INTs, Peyton/Brady mold but tough 3. Robert Wilson -- a winner, overachiever, leader, composed 4. Colin Kaepernick -- down this far because I think he relies most on the read option, which NFL defenses will catch up to 5. Joe Flacco -- This may be all wrong, because Cameron may have been his limiting factor. If so, and I need to see more evidence, then I'd bump him up to 3rd. |

Well, not anyone. I don't think the Bills, Jets, Cards, Chiefs, Raiders, Jags, Titans, Browns, Eagles, or Rams have much hope at the position and would take Schaub right now, and possibly over the next few years while they draft someone. That's ten of 32 teams.
That sounds about right. I'm very high on Russell Wilson, so others may not agree on that point, but I think he's better than other rookies that people were raving about the last couple years. Andrew Luck has already shown he has everything it takes. Once he gets his turnovers under control, that guy is going to be nails. That just comes with experience. But because of that experience, Schaub is still a notch above them for now.

1. Luck(Best young QB to enter league since Peyton)
2. 3. Flacco(Gutsy, most powerful arm in the league, winner) 4. Wilson(Smart young QB who knows when to pass and when to run 5. Kapernick(Very athletic, would still like to see more body of work) 6. RG3 (dude is overrated, he has 2 reads, then is instructed to run. That won't last long, especially after enough tape is gathered on him, plus he blew his knee out) |
