Why do star athletes always get the best girls? I mean, she is perfect - thin, razor thin actually, never bad mouths or back talks her man, or anyone else for that matter. She'll never be seeing other men, and they won't be seeing her either.

His girlfriend dying has been played up in it in the media the entire year, so it has gotten people to believe he is somehow involved in the hoax. If he's not involved, it's a sick twisted joke played on the guy. Te'o was in an online relationship with a "woman" who supposedly died last year. The "woman" turns out to still be alive, and it just so happens to be a "guy". If Te'o isn't involved then I've seen this sort of thing happen before on Dr. Phil. It's called a "catfish" and they try to play on peoples emotions in an online relationship and come up with extreme excuses not to meet in person.

I don't know if life imitates art or vice versa but George costanza realized that telling people especially attractive women that his beautiful (make believe) girlfriend died got him all kinds of love. The nfl takes killers (Leonard little) and people deeply involved in murders (ray lewis) so this guy will get a job. But it raises red flags about his mental make up.

The architect of the hoax, Ronaiah Tuiasosopo , used his cousin Tino to play the part of Lennay Kekua during conversations with Te'o.

"Tino is the girl that Manti has been talking to all these months," a cousin of Tuiasosopo told the New York Post.
