Yes, even with that crappy of a team, they probably would have won more games...the loss of Mojo didn't help either. Compare the Chiefs to the Jags schedule. When the Texans got the 1st pick in the NFL for Mario Williams, didn't the Texans, that season have the hardest schedule?

People were saying about the same thing last year (and maybe early this year) about the Colts. And now many of those same people are saying the Colts have parity (and maybe some are secretly even thinking superiority), with the Texans.
Jacksonville can turn this thing around very, very quickly. Afterall didn't the Texans have to go into OT to beat them in Reliant this year ?

The big story out of Jaguars General Manager David Caldwell’s introduction to the media was his firm statement that Donald Duck has as much chance of being a member of the Jaguars this season as Tim Tebow.

Tebow wasn’t the only quarterback who came up for discussion, though. Blaine Gabbert, who finished his second season with the Jaguars on injured reserve and didn’t do much to encourage confidence that he was the man for the future before that, was also on Caldwell’s list of talking points. Caldwell plans to have four quarterbacks on the roster in camp and said there would be an open competition for the quarterback job, but said that wasn’t something to interpret as writing off Gabbert altogether.

“He is still young. He’s had two different offensive coordinators in his first two years. Get a coach in here and get some sustainability for him. I think it’s important to see what he can do. Look at some quarterbacks. It takes maybe more than two years, three or four years. He came out as a junior and he’s a very young quarterback and he still has a lot of upside,” Caldwell said, via the Florida Times-Union. “I always thought Blaine was going to be a long-term project when he came out anyway. I studied him when he came out and he came out from the spread offense. I felt like it was going to be a longer process for him. Look at the quarterbacks like Matt Ryan and Peyton Manning, they spent a full five years in college. Blaine should be a rookie coming out this year. Let’s work with him.”

In all honesty, I don't see the shear fear I saw with Carr.


I also don't see why Gabbert was taken in the first round, but that's a different story all together.

It could be that Gabbert has not experienced the number of sacks in his first 2 seasons that Carr enjoyed.

LMAO!!! Tough ****... You realize the hardest schedule argument only comes into play because Jacksonville had to play Houston & Indianapolis twice this year and Houston got stuck playing a two win Jacksonville team? The only other difference in their schedules? The Jaguars didn't play the Ravens or Broncos. Not that it actually benefitted them, since they lost to both Cincinnati & Oakland.

More accurate portrayal of SOS has Texans and Jags pretty much identical. Almost top 10 but not quite, certainly not THE toughest.

Good read. The most impressive team on that list are the Vikings. 4th toughest schedule, still won 10 games without a QB. They'll be tough next year.

Interesting the Texans & Pats end up with the same SOS & the same record. Also, Peyton beating a weak schedule is why his teams couldn't win in the Post Season.

Odd to be sure. But what I find really hilarious is the 13-4 Texans alive in the playoffs, and the Jags going 2-14 and still not getting the 1st pick in the draft. That makes me laugh and laugh.

BTW, who is Snagglepuss? And you do admit that the Jags are the least talented team in the NFL, right?
