From a Veteran
Let me say, to all you Houston Texans fans who go to the games, I really, really appreciate your patriotism.
I like the way you support the singing of the Star Spangled Banner. Today it was especially touching as it seemed most of the stadium was singing. It's been a slow process, I've been going to the games since 2006. We've always stood, we've always taken our hats off... but today, everybody was in their seats (I'm sure play off football had a lot to do with it), but back in 2006, if anyone but me was singing, I couldn't hear it. Not saying you weren't singing back then, only I couldn't hear it. We've always cheered at the "right" moments & all. Through the years, more & more people started to sing. Today, it really touched me. Like I said, it really touched me.
I know you appreciate our young men & women & the veterans that came before them, but it's right there, when we're singing the Star Spangled Banner, that I feel it....... I've just got to believe other veterans feel the same way.
You've also showed great support for our hometown heroes & I appreciate that as well. I also thank the Texans for doing that every week. I love it. I love our Texans, & I love you & your support for our veterans.
