My positivity is confined to our DE's, their energy must be contagious in order for us to win. Last year, next man up was a mantra that was executed, this year it was non existent.
Kid Kubiak's game plan may not be executed, and his kids must be prepared to handle that adversity. The first five minutes of the game will tell me everything about this team's desire and focus, and the coaching staff's ability to adjust a sinking ship. Execute or be executed.

I can see it now on the post-season Superbowl champions DVD review. It's a perfect underdog story.
"The Texans, who had officially Sanchezed in the final two weeks of the season, churned out a gritty performance against the Bengals in the Wildcard round, before traveling to the site of a previous humiliation that season to deliver a Longest Yard style victory. Then against their nemesis of 10 years, the mighty Lord Forehead, they secured a shot at the Houston's first Superbowl in history." The Texans under Kubiak have been the quintessential underdog team, coming up with wins like the road trip in the cold at Green Bay when no one gave them a chance, to delivering a goose egg in the final 2 weeks of this season, to ensure the number one seed. On the basis, that a Kubiak Texans team will always perform against what conventional thinking dictates. Roll on gametime! ![]() ![]()

Positive things from 2012:
Andre proved that he wasn't finished carving his legacy into NFL history. Kareem Jackson rose above remarkable challenges and made us all so proud to be so wrong. It's the year that we discovered that Houston has the best defensive player in the NFL, and maybe in the history of the 3-4 DE position. |

Time to reflect how things were when Houston didn't have a NFL team

We shall not be flagged nor fail. We shall go on to the end. We shall fight on the ground; we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air. We shall defend Reliant whatever the cost may be; we shall fight in the bleachers we shall fight in the Bull Pen, we shall fight in the boxes and in the suites. We shall never surrender!

I'll be rooting on the Texans. We're in the playoffs and that's what matters now. It's a new season and all that matters is if they win now and they certainly can. Go Texans!!

"guru's" and bandwagoners are doubting the texans because the bengals have "improved on defense in the 2nd half" and "their pass rush is amazing" . . . in reality, who have they played? . . . they are a rather average team imo that got their record off a very easy schedule:
@ Baltimore L 13 - 44 (expected) vs Cleveland W 34 - 27 (wow, clev scored a lot) @ Washington (1-1) W 38 - 31 (wash def lost players too) @ Jacksonville (1-2) W 27 - 10 (gabbert was qb) vs Miami (1-3) L 13 - 17 (loss at home to who?) @ Cleveland (0-5) L 24 - 34 (wow, clev gets revenge) vs Pittsburgh (2-3) L 17 - 24 (some pass rush, huh) vs Denver (4-3) L 23 - 31 (nice try) vs NY Giants (6-3) W 31 - 13 (everyone scored on nyg; manning crappy year) @ Kansas City (1-8) W 28 - 6 (cassel/quinn? . . . does it matter) vs Oakland (3-7) W 34 - 10 (everyone scored on oak) @ San Diego (4-7) W 20 - 13 (too close against that OL & D) vs Dallas (6-6) L 19 - 20 (sucky OL and let dallas out smart them) @ Philadelphia (4-9) W 34 - 13 (philly gave up weeks ago; gimme game) @ Pittsburgh (7-7) W 13 - 10 (hurt roth & crap OL) vs Baltimore (10-5) W 23 - 17 (ravens had nothing to play for) sending all my positive thoughts to the texans to just do what you know you can do . . . just do it, texans . . .
